30-year-old mom introduced herself while dropping her teen son off at a party — but the other mom’s unexpected comment left her sobbing
Many teen moms grow up under constant judgment, as people focus more on their age than on their dedication as parents. 30-year-old mom Leslie (@caldo.de.les) had dropped off her 14-year-old when she introduced herself to another kid's mother. Little did she know that the other woman was about to hurt her with her words, leaving her sobbing. Sharing the painful experience with her TikTok followers on Saturday, March 7, 2026, Leslie revealed how she felt humiliated in front of other parents and kids.
@caldo.de.les Rewatching this a week later and I’m actually too dramatic I’m sorry. I was in fact on my period 😭 #youngmom #teenmom #crybaby #storytime ♬ original sound - Les 🍒
TikTok user Leslie was dropping off her son at his friend's birthday party when she introduced herself to his friend's mother. Although her son has always been a little embarrassed about her being young, she assured him that it would be all right. However, upon introducing herself, the woman shamed her for becoming a mother in her teens and for "getting busy really early." Leslie, who was already having a bad day, broke down in tears, but the woman continued to say that she felt uncomfortable knowing that Leslie had given her son a ride home the other day when the woman wasn't able to pick him up.
Having her character assassinated in front of everyone, Leslie simply walked out of the house sobbing. She revealed that although her son wanted to talk to her, she let him enjoy his party, as she knew she would burst into more tears. The young mother revealed that she had often heard such comments about being too young to be a mother before, but to be shut down and humiliated in front of everyone, even after years, felt disheartening.
Teen moms are often judged by society for giving birth in youth and for "immoral" reasons; what people fail to realize is that they are humans too, who have gone through hardships while raising an infant at a young age. In fact, judgments are often thrown at single teen moms, but what matters the most is how good a parent they have been to their child. Despite several hardships of being a single teen mom, Leslie said she was able to raise her son while facing judgment and can proudly call herself a good parent, unlike those who judge others out of spite.
Soon after the video gained massive virality, many users came to Leslie and shared their thoughts. @beachdazeee noted, "That’s crazy rude and disrespectful, you’re valid." @cali_4.4.4 mentioned, "You should have tilted your head sideways and said 'What an odd thing to say to someone you're meeting for the first time, and in front of children, if I may add' followed by a smile and wink." @andy remarked, "I would have taken my kid with me. There's no way I would now feel comfortable leaving him in a house like that."
