Instead of simply waiting for the situation to be resolved, the pilot stepped in to help. In the video shared, the pilot can be seen loading the bags on his own on the aircraft. The passenger filmed the moment and later identified him as Captain Paul, writing, “Kudos to the one ramp agent and pilot.” She also jokingly wondered who would help passengers get off the gate once the bags were loaded.
The pilot's involvement didn't end there. In an update, u/MRSRN65 said Captain Paul returned to the aircraft to tell passengers that another ramp agent had been found to take over. He expected they would need about another 20 minutes before leaving the gate. Since the flight was expected to arrive around 3 a.m., she wondered whether there would be enough airport staff waiting at their destination to unload the bags. Other commenters reassured her that airport crews typically stay for late arrivals.
