Boy’s 3-step guide to dealing with self-doubt will change how you see yourself

Self-doubt may hold people back from trying and practicing many things. There is also a possibility that one doesn't find a solution to it even as an adult. However, a boy, Paxton, has found a simple 3-step solution to overcoming self-doubt. His method could be helpful for anyone looking for a little encouragement to take the next step. The boy's dad, Tyler Deveraux, was proud of his son's wisdom and shared his response on Instagram, where he goes by @tyler_deveraux.

Deveraux asked Paxton, "How do you deal with self-doubt?" The boy immediately recounted how he was sitting in the kitchen with his mom one day and doing the "highs and lows." He always asks his mom a question at the end of the day and his question that day was, "If you could have a cure for anything, what could it be?" His mom answered that she would like to have a cure for self-doubt. Paxton remarked that he had already cured that. "It's just three easy, simple steps." The first step is to imagine how things would be without self-doubt. "What would you be like without self-doubt?" The boy gave an example and explained that he imagined what he would be like without self-doubt while playing baseball.

"One thing I have a lot of self-doubt about is getting up to the plate and striking out. And with me, no self-doubt is not striking out, basically." He added, "The second step is to make a list of things that separate you from your self-doubt." The third step is to do the things that separate a person from their self-doubt. "It's as simple as that." In the caption, Deverauz wrote, "My son Paxton gave one of the most honest answers I’ve ever heard on stage. Self-doubt? He says he’s already cured it." The man continued, "And the way he explained it... blew me away. He is wise beyond his years. Proud dad moment for sure!" People praised the boy for his words in the comments section of the video.
@dermonte_iamwisdom_addams wrote, "My goodness, he has grown! I know you are so proud, Tyler. I can see the pride and joy on your face. You two are raising a wise young man." @dlokan commented, "What an incredible moment to witness. Major high five to Paxton — and the parents raising such wise, intuitive, emotionally intelligent humans. This just gave me chills. Y’all are shaping a generation and it shows." @abigailburnsle remarked, "Way to go, mom, he’s a very smart and intelligent boy and sounds like he’s very nurtured and encouraged to challenge himself and get better! Such an invaluable thing at this age."

@aliciaannejordan shared, "Our daughter became a National and World Champion. As a result, I am accustomed to seeing kids who are outliers. Pax is undoubtedly floating WAY above the curve! He is an outlier and is truly exceptional. It is clear that he has been absorbing all of the goodness around him! That kind of wisdom is super rare at his age. He is going places and is one to watch!" Deveraux often shares life advice and more on the page. In one of the videos, Paxton asked a girl, Marley, about what she spends her money on. The girl initially admitted that most of the spending is on candy, but after thinking for a couple of seconds, she took a wiser approach. She said she should save money to buy an apartment as it "creates freedom."
