The unintended move may have helped the family, as the mom later said she feared her loved ones had already been harmed.

A parent might go to great lengths to ensure their kids are safe and sound. A panicked mom also saved her family in an instant, proving how looking out for them was second nature to her. The woman, who chose to remain anonymous for safety reasons, accidentally rammed her G-Wagon into a car parked outside her house after she received a call from her mother. Her mother had been babysitting her three children while burglars broke into the house. The accident worked in the woman's favor for a specific reason. A security camera near the house captured the moment, per TODAY's report on December 23, 2025.

The mom from California had actually hit the burglars' car as they tried to go inside her house. "I see the guys, and I was in panic. I was in shock," the woman recounted. She pointed out that she had hit their car unintentionally. Just a few minutes prior to the incident, the woman had been talking to her mother, who was watching her three kids while she was away. The grandma noticed the burglars while she was still on the phone and started screaming. "My kids are in the house. She's screaming like, I don't know how, like crazy." As the woman was in a hurry to get home and check on her family, she started driving really fast. Because of her speed, she crashed into a parked car outside her house.

It was the car the burglars were supposed to use to run away from the scene, and that accidental action might have helped the family. "In my mind, I thought that they killed my family," the mom admitted. Security footage showed three burglars running away after the crash. Both vehicles suffered severe damage because of the impact. Police officers arrived at the location and found radio devices in the car that might have been monitoring police activity. The family home's security system and WiFi had been disabled by the burglars, according to the outlet. "Don't come back to my house," the mom said as a message to the burglars.

People praised the mom's brave actions in the comments section of the video. @traveling.tulip wrote, "Good job to the mom. She used a G wagon straight to their car, wow. Don’t mess with moms." @candyb.tx1 commented, "Wow. What a brave move. I hope they catch them. Figure out who that vehicle belongs to, etc. I always say, anyone tries to rob me, and I'm in my vehicle, they're going to become a speed bump."

@na_coleee remarked, "These burglaries are on the local news about once or twice a week here in L.A. Can't imagine all the burglaries that happen and don't get publicized. Happy mom and family are alive and safe." @berniebarlow shared, "Mama bear was woken up! Glad all are okay! Burglars did the same to my neighbor's house. Cut the power to security first."
