Dad records kind neighbors giving his kids returning from school an Easter surprise they’ll never forget

Kids often enjoy surprise treats on special days and festivals. Sometimes, friends, family or even neighbors go out of their way to do just that for kids. A dad captured how his retired neighbors stood at the bus stop to give special Easter egg baskets to all the kids in the neighborhood. The video was shared by the mom, Lily, who goes by @lilybakesstudio on TikTok and the internet was in awe of the thoughtful gesture.

Lily shared that their neighbors were retired and had prepared Easter egg baskets for the kids when they came home from school. In the video, the elderly couple was coming out with a tray full of Easter egg baskets as the bus arrived. The kids got out of the vehicle and collected their baskets from the couple. The neighbors also had just the right number of baskets to give one to all the kids who got down. They handed over all the baskets and went inside their home as the kids came running to their dad to show him what they got. The man encouraged his kids to say "thank you" to the neighbors for their thoughtful gift. The video received more than 8.6 million views and over 1.8 million likes.

People appreciated the neighbors' kind gesture in the comments section of the video. @chronicallycautious wrote, "The fact that every child got one means they've counted how many kids got off the bus and planned it." @moe_is_afraid commented, "My neighbor and his wife used to bring us Halloween baskets, Easter baskets, coloring books. Even after I moved out of my parents' house. In another video, the mom shared what the kids got in those baskets. They were blue and yellow bunny-shaped baskets filled with candy, Easter eggs and stickers of different kinds. The mom shared that the kids already went through a lot of those things and they were "super cute." In yet another video, the woman revealed how she prepared Easter baskets for the neighbors and had her kids take them to the couple. The mom filled her bunny-shaped baskets with Easter-themed candies and mugs that said, "You are my favorite." Lily shared that her neighbors are super sweet and she wanted to do something nice for them as well.
