Grandpa opens door at 7 am to find 2-year-old granddaughter standing alone with a note — the reason left him in stitches

The grandpa gladly welcomed the tiny tot who was super energetic and excited to be there but when he learned how and why she popped there at the hour, he burst into laughter

Grandparents do adore their grandkids. Seeing a glimpse of their kids in the tiny tots is a whole different experience to relive. Grandchildren are often tight-knit with their grandparents and the bond is as cute as it gets. 2-year-old Maryn Cox was also in awe of her grandparents, per PEOPLE. Her mom, Sara (@saralyndelta), shared a glimpse of her toddler delightedly walking up to her grandparents’ van. However, there was an adorably hilarious story behind the same. The mom explained that this was an option they were eagerly waiting for and as soon as their van’s lights came on, the toddler was making her way to the door with a cutest note in hand.

Sara revealed that Maryn had been giving her and her dad a hard time the previous night. She woke up at 3.30 am and there was no way of getting her back to sleep. Everything the parents tried was in vain and the girl wouldn’t catch even a wink. They ended up watching a cartoon on TV until 7 am and it was beyond tiring. The all-nighter was gonna turn into an all-day dilemma until Sara saw a light—metaphorically and literally. The woman’s parents had come over and were staying in their RV which was a few feet away. As soon as the exhausted mom saw the lights come on in the early hours of the morning, she knew what to do.

Without further hesitation, she had Maryn up and going to put her shoes on while she wrote a witty note. She recounted, “I just wrote the first thing that came to mind as quickly as I could because she was already getting her shoes on." It read, “I've been awake since 3.30 am and didn't go back to sleep. Mum and dad are pissed.” Maryn had no idea of what the note meant but she was excited to be up and at it with all the toddler energy. The sleepy-headed mom requested her daughter to hand over the note to Grandpa and Maryn was excited to have a job to do.

The video captured the tiny tot making her way to the van while Grandpa spotted her and waited to greet her. As the kid made her way on all fours up the stairs of the van, the grandpa’s joy knew no bounds. He was super excited to start his day with his tiny bundle of joy. Maryn did as was told of her. She handed over the note ever so innocently. Grandpa read the same and burst out laughing with the cutest smile while glancing over from his van to the window where Sara was recording.

Nodding in agreement, he continued laughing his way back into the van, ready for his babysitting duty. "It takes a village to raise a child and being a parent is really hard, but there is so much joy and humor in those everyday moments," Sara remarked. @iskelderon wrote, “A minute after cuddling with grandpa, she’s going to be out like a light.” @malilatequila added, “The only hack is to live near grandparents.”
