Wedding vows are always special. A groom named Alex Wood (@alex.woood) made his bride emotional during his vows on their wedding day. The groom explained the "Aubrey Effect" by asking a simple question to the guests who were present. Alex paused his wedding vows and posed the question, but when he explained his reason, his bride began choking up. Sharing the heartfelt video on Saturday, February 14, 2026, the groom revealed his love for his partner through his "made-up" theory.

Alex and his partner, Aubrey, have been one of the internet's favorite couples. During his vows, Alex decided to pause for a moment and take a different approach from tradition. He asked the guests present at the ceremony to raise their hands if his partner and soon-to-be wife, Aubrey, had ever made an impact on any of their lives. "Quick show of hands, if Aubrey has made your life better in any sort of way, even if you met her this weekend," he asked. Following his question, several of the guests raised their hands as Alex asked Aubrey to turn around and look at the crowd.  He then turned toward his bride to explain what he meant. Calling it the "Aubrey Effect," he expressed his gratitude for getting to feel her warmth every single day. Complimenting her laugh, he appreciated the positive impact she had on others.

Alex noted that the way they laugh together at "everything and nothing" sometimes may not mean much, but he still enjoys every moment of it. Sharing the wholesome video, the groom captioned, "The 'Aubrey Effect' is real. You make everything and everyone better." Just like the guests who fell in love with Alex's special vows, the internet couldn't stop gushing over the sweet tribute.

Several internet users took to the comment section to praise the couple. @stephaniepohlmandesigns mentioned, "Is this a movie scene? As I'm watching through a phone and raising my hand from Missouri." @bstudios_sb remarked, "Love you two and your love, what a treat to witness the magic." @victorian_chick expressed, "I have literally never seen an internet-famous couple as endearing and lovely as you two. You are both gems."

Even the most heartfelt vows can get tangled when nerves step in. In another story, a bride who could not stop laughing when her groom made a pronunciation mishap at the altar. During their wedding vows, the clearly nervous groom is saying "waffly wedded wife" instead of "lawfully wedded wife." The bride chuckled at first, but then laughed nonstop until the priest officiating their wedding laughed along with her. She lost it and even gestured as if eating waffles with her hands, while the wedding guests smiled at the groom's nervous laughter. "I've been scared of this all my life," the groom confessed after he messed up his lines. The lighthearted moment captured their love for each other and the bride's comfort around her partner.
