Honest delivery driver returns next day to tell customer she has been overcharged $130 — the response took them aback

Many times, people choose honesty even when they would get nothing out of it apart from a clear conscience. A woman witnessed that kind of honesty from her delivery partner during Christmas. The delivery woman noticed that the person had paid around $130 extra and wanted to bring that to her attention. The customer, Kelly (@kelly09282 on TikTok), shared how she was surprised by what the delivery partner did and how she gave her a reminder of "human decency."

"Hi, I am so sorry to bother you. I am not a psycho, I swear," the delivery woman said to the ring camera. "I am with Uber." She told her that she had delivered a package to the house yesterday and felt that the customer was overcharged. The woman pointed out that they got a $130 extra from the customer's bank and came back at that time to ensure that everything was alright. "I don't want it to affect your account." "Please check because that is...I had no other way to find you but to come back here." The customer asked if the woman had received that money from the company and she confirmed that she did receive it.
"It was for you," the customer pointed out. "No way!" The person repeated, "Yeah, it was!" The delivery partner explained, "I have not slept all night. I got this in the middle of the night." She was worried that something had gone wrong with the customer's account and that had led to the extra payment. "Thank you so much. I didn't bring a card or anything," she expressed. The woman reassured her that it was completely okay. "I won't come back, I promise. Unless there's a delivery." The customer encouraged the woman to "hug it out" as they gave each other a big hug. She shared that she likes to surprise people with a big tip during Christmas, but she was the one who was surprised this time around because of the woman's kindness and honesty.
"2 days ago, I had a grocery delivery and thought it would be nice to gift the driver a $100 tip through the app. Today, I was the one surprised when the same driver showed up at my door," Kelly explained. Instead of taking the money, the woman was worried that there had been an error or her credit card had been stolen. "In this time of need, how amazing that someone would go out of their way to try and make things right." She pointed out that she might have given the gift of money, but the delivery partner gave her, "a much larger gift- a reminder of human decency, gratitude and the Christmas spirit." People shared their thoughts on the incident through the comments.

God Bless her!" @daniellaloren commented, "Her coming back, not sleeping & being upset about not bringing a thank you is everything- you and the universe definitely found the right person on the holidays to bless." @carladulcina remarked, "I started crying when she said, 'I didn’t bring a card or anything.' My gosh, this was such a lovely thing to see."
@kelly09282 At Christmas, I think its fun to surprise people with large tips. 2 days ago, I had a grocery delivery and thought it would be nice to gift the driver a $100 tip through the app. Today, I was the one surprised when the same driver shows up at my door. Instead of taking the money, she was worried there had been an error and wanted to make sure nobody had stolen my credit cards. In this time of need, how amazing that someone would go out of their way to try and make things right. I may have given her the gift of money, but she gave me a much larger gift- a reminder of human decency, gratitude and the Christmas spirit. #ringcamrea#santa#ring#happy#hopecore#fyp#heartwarming #tip#money#doorbell#kindness #loving#sweet#hope ♬ original sound - kelly0928
