Incredible video shows man sprinting from his car on a busy street to rescue a toddler from oncoming traffic

Toddlers are known to wander around and leave their parents’ presence in a jiffy. Their curiosity keeps them on their toes and before you know it, they’re off a few blocks already. A report by FOX26 News revealed that a little girl, presumably under the age of 2 years, was found wandering on the streets of Madera, California, unattended. The toddler was aimlessly walking, having no clue what to expect. However, she appeared to be on a busy street, with vehicles rapidly making their way across the road. In a matter of moments when things could have gone drastically wrong, a man noticed the little girl and jumped into action.

Footage revealed by Madera Uncensored on Facebook captured the girl roaming aimlessly on Madera Avenue near G Street. She was off the sidewalk and was at the end of the road where cars were passing from both sides. Because she was out wandering, a car ahead of her had stopped and tried to figure out what was happening. However, the girl was moving on her own, unsure where to go. In a matter of seconds, a man rushed from across the street and scooped her up in his arms, taking her to the side. A few seconds after he got hold of her, another man followed. He, too, like a good samaritan, was making his way to help the girl out.

Once the men got the toddler aside, the cars were able to move forward. The strangers reportedly began looking around to see if they could find her parents or locate where she came from. They found a door open in a nearby complex and rushed over with the girl to see if that was her home. When they shouted out for someone to come to the door, a woman came with a little crying boy. Turns out, it was her daughter, who had wandered out of her home alone, without her knowledge. The woman was taking a shower when the girl went missing. The police were not involved in the situation as the girl was safe and sound.

The internet is incredibly grateful to the strangers who went out of their way and sprinted into action as soon as they noticed a girl. The man reportedly even told the mom that it was a serious scenario and the girl could have had drastic consequences. "That street is busy and at least 10 vehicles went by right after them,” he remarked. The caption of the video read, “Posting this for awareness, never leave your child unattended. Thankfully, these gentlemen stopped to help and return her home.”

Many people recognized the street and the activity of vehicles on the road and were grateful that the men intervened when they did. Liane Gallegos wrote, “Thank God for whoever found her, cause that is a main road. Everybody drives fast right there on 145.” Freddie Gutierrez added, “That child could have been snatched in an instant and never seen again!” Cat-Forondoa-Benavidez remarked, “Thank God for good people. Thank you to the men who saved this baby's life.”
