When kids hold onto a wish for years, finally seeing it come true can bring out big emotions. The wait makes the moment even more meaningful when it finally happens. A young boy, Logan, felt similar emotions when his long-awaited wish came true as a gift on his birthday. A video shared by his mother, Sarah Stage (@sarah_stage), on TikTok, showed Logan receiving his birthday gift, which he believed was a stuffed puppy—until he saw a collar with a name, “Teddi.” When he opened another box, he got overwhelmed and cried his eyes out. The video, posted on November 7, 2025, has received over 105 million views and more than 117,000 comments.
The overlay read, “6 years of asking for a puppy.” In the video, Logan opened a box of presents, which had a stuffed puppy. He excitedly opened the gift, as his father asked, “What’s that? You like it?” Logan reacted happily, “Yeah, I love it!” However, little did he know that a real surprise was waiting for him. His parents further guided him to look more closely into the box. “Open that. What does that say?” they asked, making the boy read the name on the collar. “Teddi,” he read. Logan confirmed if it is the name for the puppy. But he was completely unaware of what was coming next. His parents remarked, “Don't you think it's better if it were a real dog, though?” to which he quietly agreed, “Yeah.”
Later, his parents gave him another box of presents, which left him in tears—it was a real puppy, which he had waited for years. Not only Logan, but also his elder brother looked emotional as he hugged his little brother. The parents can be heard saying, “Say 'Hi' to Teddi, everyone,” as they introduced the puppy.
This heartwarming exchange made the viewers emotional. While some praised the parents’ upbringing, others appreciated the big brother's gesture. “I don't know which is cuter—the boy crying of joy about the puppy or his older brother crying of joy for his brother,” commented @iamkhunt24. “You guys raised them so well,” said @nicolepurugganan, praised the brother hugging and sharing the sentiment. @lennythy3 said, “I love how he got so excited over the stuffed animal.
