Man stops at New Orleans house for sale—he's baffled at what he spots written on the sign: 'I still wouldn’t believe it'

Sometimes, a few strange discoveries make many people question what is real and what is not. A man named Anthony Badon–who goes by @artistbe3k on TikTok–experienced something similar while roaming around the streets of New Orleans, Louisiana. He came across a sign on a "For Sale" house and was immediately intrigued by what it said. He even wondered about the state of the place for the owner to have to put out such a sign. Badon shared his interesting discovery with the platform.

The house was being sold by Lynda DePanicis, and the only information the sign gave out, apart from the house being on sale, was that it was "NOT HAUNTED." Badon commented, "New Orleans is not a real place," through the text overlay of the video. The caption read, "I love this city with all my heart, lol." Badon is an artist and works as a portrait painter and regularly explores the historic town, per Newsweek. "I found the house as I was frolicking around the French quarters on a day out with friends," he said about the sign that detailed the contact number and name of the agent. He couldn't help but laugh at the sign when he saw it. "Do you know how insane it is to live in a city where you have to advertise that your [house] is not haunted for somebody to buy the house?" he remarked.
"Seeing the signage made me instantly burst into laughter [at] the idea of someone having to advertise that their property is an anomaly in a neighborhood filled with haunted buildings and courtyards," Badon pointed out. New Orleans is known as the most haunted city in America due to its history and certain practices like above-ground cemeteries and abandoned 18th-century mansions, per FrenchQuarter.com.
People in the comments were intrigued and shared their thoughts. A user wrote, "And the way I'm set, seeing the 'not haunted' sign would automatically make me think they are lying and it really is, lol." @frostedjosieos commented, "Honestly for me a 'not haunted' sign is a deterrent because 1) I don’t believe you and 2) If I’m buying a house in New Orleans, Louisiana, it better be haunted, dammit."

@adavis2326 remarked, "So in some states, they have to let you know if someone died or has had weird activity in the home…lol…and they are lying. Most of New Orleans is haunted." @ih82sweet shared, "It’s haunted, I’m from New Orleans. All the houses that have been there from the 1800s-2005 are haunted." @le.rougarou expressed, "My parents made the mistake of buying a house in New Orleans that didn’t say 'not haunted' and then had to deal with my mom waking up screaming my entire childhood until we moved."
