The internet thought that the son was a genius and the mom shouldn't even get mad because of what he did.

Young kids might do the funniest things to protect the things they treasure. They might hide their candy and their toys in the weirdest places so no one can reach them. A boy did a similar thing with his chocolates, but not many people could have thought of the place he hid them. Nonetheless, his mom ended up finding the place and shared the funny sight of the chocolates hidden by her son on TikTok. The woman, Angie, who goes by @sarah_jade_ on the platform, shared what she found while changing her son's bedsheets.

"When you are changing your son's sheets and find this," the mom wrote in the text overlay of the video. The boy had a bed with bars and four legs instead of a box bed and the sheet on the bed was a fitted one. Because of that, there was space under the bed where the sheets made little pocket-like structures. The boy had stored various kinds of candy in each compartment and the woman was completely shocked by her son's ingenuity in trying to hide his chocolates. Angie must have noticed how the sheet was bulging at certain places under the bed and decided to check what it was.

Funnily enough, she found a couple of lollipops hidden in one tuck, some chocolates in another place, a single chocolate with a blue wrapper in another place and another chocolate with a yellow wrapper in another corner. The kid had left some distance between each of his hiding places to make it look less suspicious, but got caught regardless. The caption read, "He is so busted." The video received more than 32 million views and over 3.6 million likes. People in the comments section thought the idea was brilliant and suggested that the mom shouldn't get mad about this.

@eva.lujan.cervera wrote, "I was looking for something in my teen son’s room when I found a box under his bed. It was his stash of pan de dulce." @city_wonder.g.s commented, "Organization, saving, self-control, no food wrappers around, aka cleanliness. I'd say add to it and be proud he's learning life skills." @christianthompson591 remarked, "Hey, we all had our stashes. You have yours too, I bet. My grams even gave me a special box for mine. She said, 'Hey, as long as you are eating your dinner, how you treat yourself is up to you.'" @definitelynotcloe1 shared, "There might be a reason why he’s hoarding ready-to-eat food. Maybe he gets hungry at night! Talk to him about it and find a solution. Maybe healthier options in his room?"

@vmch16 revealed, "My 7-year-old son hoards his 'treasures' up there. One time I found an old prepaid Visa and a realtor’s business card. Think I caught him trying to start a new life." @vtrinit expressed, "Remember mama, they only get better at hiding things when you start the lecture and they realize they’re caught. Let him have his snacks!" @moomoo3344 suggested, "It's good, you gotta be grateful that he didn't eat all of them in one go and knows to keep them for future need."
