Mom woke up from coma to read priceless texts her boyfriend sent her while she was fighting for her life — she was stunned

It is often said that love is not just what you say or do in front of the person, but how you support them behind their back. Showing love where it's needed the most and coming through in times of hardship is one of the most important characteristics of a strong relationship. Sometimes, it takes the littlest gestures in unprecedented times to reveal true love. When mom, Lauren Anderson (@laurendanielleanderson), was in a coma and was fighting for life, her boyfriend showed her unwavering support. The man made sure he texted her day and night, even though she was unable to see him and it says everything about partnership and love. 

Having a partner support another through good and bad times accounts for a secure relationship, per Better Help. No matter what the challenge is, it is refreshing to have your loved ones support you through it and reinforce your confidence. In the case of Anderson, her partner exercised this encouragement and support through reassuring gestures after she was in a coma following childbirth. He sent her texts day and night, conveying his feelings to her. The man was sending her updates and positive wishes for recovery. This indicated that he was there by her side consistently and was also looking forward to getting through the health complication with her. 

The mom shared a picture of herself unconscious in the hospital bed, in need of tubes and pipes to breathe and make it through every day. Nevertheless, her boyfriend stuck with her. One of his messages sent in the morning read, “I love you so much. I hope you read this very soon. You’re my world.” Another message consisted of an update followed by more encouragement. “You’re so strong and I know we’ll make it through this,” it read. Yet another message revealed the man’s excitement and relief to be able to hold and be with his partner. “I love you and I hope I get to see you awake so I can give you the biggest squeeze I’ve ever given you. I won’t be letting go,” he wrote. 

Each of the messages was tear-jerking, some consisting of an assuring good morning greeting and others expressing how dearly he missed Anderson. Finally, at the end of the video, the mom shared a glimpse of herself with her partner, both embracing each other, grateful and full of love. In a follow-up video, the mom shared a few more glimpses of her partner and their newborn, showing up, doing everything to look after the infant and Anderson. “I love doing life with you,” she wrote in the caption. People were moved to tears at the couple’s connection and love. 

Many commended the man for fulfilling his duty as a partner and doing even more with his precious gesture. @9ty5ive_1 said, “When you get married, please have this displayed.
