Having two or more kids is no joke. It is quite a task for parents to handle them, even after years of practice. The experiences never get old. For those with more than one child, there must have been a time when their kid went missing or they left the kids somewhere and forgot. A woman who goes by @autumnnngracee on TikTok shared an experience when her parents went through a similar situation. Fortunately for the family, she had been recording and the mom’s reaction was priceless comedy. The video was reposted by u/mindyour and people are getting quite the laugh out of it.

The parents had gone to McDonald’s with their three children. They seemed to be quite grown up and had traveled together in the car. The video captured the sibling duo in the backseat while the dad drove and the mom was in the other front seat. The family was having a banter of their own, laughing and chuckling away. They were so engrossed in their conversation that they failed to realize one of their kids was missing. After a few minutes of breathless laughter and jokes, the mom realized one of her kids was not there. While the whole family was still in a hilarious mid-laughter, she exclaimed, “We forgot Lindsey!”

After making the statement, the mom burst out laughing even more. The dad, too, went wild with laughter after the realization struck him. “Honey, I told her…” the dad said in an inaudible dialogue before adding, “She’s gonna be so pissed.” “She went to the bathroom and I forgot,” he said, trying hard to speak and contain his laughter. The two siblings, as any mischievous bunch would be, knew all along but decided to keep it a secret and let the parents figure it out. Fortunately, before they could reach home, the mom realized and the kids were wheezing.

"Throwback to five years ago when my mom and dad both forgot my oldest sister at McDonald's and me and my middle sister weren't going to say a word and then my mom finally noticed,” the text overlay in the video read. Though the kid seemed old enough for the situation not to be worrisome, the mom’s hysterical reaction summarizes the task and humor parenting holds. With harmless mistakes turning into humorous memories, it is a role worth cherishing. “Imagine your mum and dad forgetting you at McDonald's,” the caption of the Reddit post said.

With around 821 comments, people related to the idea in some way. However, for others, the parents’ reaction was too wholesome. u/Ducatirules remarked, “This story will be told in that family for generations.” u/Sinnserachd added, “I am one of 9 kids and I can't tell you how many times we have left one at one place or another. I was left at school multiple times.” u/jbk2221 noted, “Love it! Reminds me of my family get-togethers.” u/Hopefullyurs254 noticed, “The dad was so flustered he hit the windshield wipers.” u/Throwaway5511550 said, “The laugh is the best.”
