The traveler said that the airline should have at least 'warned' him about the confusion, but he was not prepared for their witty suggestion.

When it comes to traveling by air, a lot of people are particular about picking a window seat. So, naturally, if you booked one and got a wall instead, you’d be upset. According to a Liverpool Echo report on Sunday, June 7, 2026, one passenger who goes by @alanballs took to TikTok to share his dilemma. He complained about the famous 11A seat that was actually “windowless.” Ryanair listened to his concern but clapped back with a sassy 3-word response. In a stitched clip posted by @ryanair on May 28, 2026, they delivered their defense, as well as a humorous solution. Now that’s customer service!

According to the outlet, the 11A and 11F seats are known to confuse passengers since they appear as window seats but actually have limited viewing or no window at all. This traveler happened to book 11A and boarded, only to find a wall staring back at him. He recorded the visual and said that the airline could have warned him. Stitching the video, Ryanair confidently defended itself, saying, “We did.” They attached proof of the dialogue box that reads, “This seat has no window,” at the time of booking. Offering a solution in 3 sassy words, they added, “Take a nap.” In the caption, they went on to suggest, “Entertain yourself.”

The man didn’t seem too upset about the situation and seemed to be laughing in the clip, taking it in a light-hearted spirit. Commenters were stunned by the airline’s response. It was top-notch sassiness. @roadcity wrote, “Got to love Ryanair’s social media manager.” @linda.blt mentioned, “As someone with a fear of flying, I would love to book this seat.” @hellzbellz1 remarked, “11A has its own social media.” And this is not the only time the company responded with humor. Their TikTok page is filled with experiences bombarded with sarcasm, and the internet absolutely loves their approach.

In another clip shared by the airline, a passenger complained about the same seat, adding that she wasn’t able to enjoy the “sunset view,” since there was no window. To this, they pointed out how the space comes at a low price of 8 euros, which is around $9.24, and joked, “Sunset view is not free.” While these travelers took the confusion in stride, certain customers are very serious about their window seats. According to data from Photo Aid, half of Americans (58%) said they preferred window seats while booking flights. 53% noted that it is very important that they get their preferred seating arrangement.

The top three reasons cited for picking a window seat compared to others were the view, more personal space, and a surface to lean on during longer flights. So it's totally fair to want a preferred seat after booking and paying for it. However, this ongoing Ryanair situation is a reminder for passengers to check the seat map while booking flights, lest they find themselves surprised while boarding.
