Pilot, crew and passengers unite to teach entitled mom a lesson after she rudely demands window seat for her son
Standing up for someone when they’re being unjustly treated is a duty of every human being. We come across these encounters daily, wherever we are. We should strive to help, especially if we are in the power to do so. A man who goes by u/D4NK_D3WR1T0S on Reddit was grateful to share how a pilot, flight attendant and a few passengers came to his rescue during an exhausting flight. The passenger was having trouble with a mom and her kid in a packed plane. When she rudely demanded a space unjustly, the people united to give her a well-deserved response. The man mentioned that their flight was short but packed. It was a busy period and “nobody was in the mood of bulls**t.”
The man got into his plane and sat on his assigned window seat. The mom and the child were assigned seats next to him on the middle and aisle seats, respectively. The kid eventually began screaming and demanding the window seat. The mom politely requested the man to give up the same. The passenger made up an excuse that he was “claustrophobic.” Hoping the reason would let him be at peace with his assigned seat, the man made the excuse. However, the mom was persistent. She became stern and remarked, “That's a lie! The claustrophobia you have is fake. Just give the seat to my kid or else I'll call the flight attendant.” The flight attendant spotted the ruckus and knew there was disaster waiting.
She complained to the attendant that the “entitled brat” wouldn’t give up his seat. They got into a full-blown argument and the man retaliated, “You and your brat are the ones entitled. The ticket marks that this is my seat, right? You and your kid are seated in these two, you are ‘entitled’ to ‘those’ seats, not mine.” The mom was adamant about getting a lawyer and receiving an apology from the passenger. The flight attendant requested the man to move to a business class seat. However, upon hearing the offer, the mum got bugged and said, “That's not fair! He is the one who is behaving the worst! And you’re giving him a prize?” The flight attendant explained that the mom was cause for trouble and further disruption meant she could be thrown off the plane.
With the woman unwilling to go without chaos, passengers also got annoyed. One of them yelled, “Shut the f*ck up, you crazy b**ch. You've been f**king us up since you boarded and we aren't in the air yet.” In the meantime, the pilot intervened when the woman slyly accused the man of robbing her phone. When he was about to explain that it was a lie, the pilot already read the room. The woman then tried other reasons to get the passenger in trouble but in vain.
They supported the man and the pilot insisted, “I need you and your family to get out of this plane. When you get out, they'll give you more information about what's next.” The mom was eventually escorted out while she yelled about how she was in the right.
