She confronted a married man for secretly taking photos of her at a bar — but his wife’s response left her even more stunned
Just because someone is in a public place doesn't mean they expect to become the subject of someone else's photos. Model and Instagram user Cristina Floro decided to speak about one such experience after a visit to a local bar. In a video shared under the handle @cristinafloro on Friday, July 24, 2026, she recalled confronting a married man after spotting several photos of herself on his phone. While she expected his wife to understand why she was upset, the woman's response left Floro even more surprised and made the encounter even harder for her to process.
Floro explained that she had been enjoying oysters at the bar before getting ready to leave. As she stood up, she noticed an older man, whom she described as being over 50 years old, holding his phone unusually high in her direction. When she looked closer, she realized there were several photos of her on his device. When Floro asked if the woman beside him was his wife, the woman simply replied, "Why are you bringing me into this?" Floro immediately told the man, "I just saw you take photos of me," and demanded that he delete every image. She then discovered there were also pictures of her taken from behind, and she made sure those were removed as well.
The man tried to explain his actions by claiming he was a photographer. According to Floro, he insisted he had only been capturing the atmosphere of the bar and the oysters, but she did not accept that explanation after seeing multiple photos focused on her. She admitted she was emotionally overwhelmed in that moment and even grabbed his phone while trying to ensure the pictures were deleted. The model recalled that the man held onto his phone tightly during the confrontation.
Floro said what upset her even more was the wife's response. Seeing a wedding ring on the woman, she expected support after raising concerns about being photographed without consent. Instead, she felt the wife defended her husband's actions by refusing to get involved. She questioned why she had to explain to a grown man that taking pictures of a stranger without permission was disrespectful.
After the confrontation, Floro informed the bar staff about what had happened. She said the employees stepped in and asked the man to leave the bar. Looking back, she also noticed that several people nearby watched the incident unfold without saying anything. She felt that silence from bystanders was another disappointing part of the experience, saying women are too frequently left to defend themselves in uncomfortable situations.
Many women find it difficult to enjoy public spaces without worrying about unwanted attention or feeling unsafe. In another recent incident, a woman shared how a stranger refused to accept her repeated rejection during a solo dinner. Even after she explained that she was married and asked him to leave, he kept insisting and even asked, “Don’t you need a break?” She finally warned him, “I am not going to ask you again,” adding that if he did not walk away, either his ego or something else would get broken, after which he left without saying another word.
