Singer Madison Beer goes to salon to get her nails done— ends up paying for nail artist's rent for a month
When given the opportunity to help out a stranger in need, we should spare no effort. There is so much we can offer, be it money, hope, love, time and whatnot. Singer Madison Beer came through for a nail tech, Hazel Wah, who was in desperate need of financial aid, per CNA Lifestyle. The 21-year-old was glad to have the chance to do Beer’s nails in a last-minute appointment at a nail studio (@edensatelier.co) in Singapore. When the singer discovered the ambitious woman was struggling, she offered to help without hesitation.
Sharing a post on Instagram, Wah revealed that Beer had asked for a last-minute appointment which she gladly obliged to. Wah mentioned that she and a business partner had agreed to move to a studio from a small office space. Something went wrong between the partners and the latter refused to keep their end of the agreement, putting Wah in strenuous financial trouble. “We planned to invest into the business for the first 6 months with our personal finances to let the business grow. However, I lost over $20,000 trying to maintain the rent, electricity bills, salaries and more,” Wah mentioned.
Working 12-hour shifts, the woman tried everything in her power to get out of the debt and make it through. The nail tech also received some support from friends but it wasn’t enough. After a serious financial downfall, Wah gave her best and kept pursuing her work. The singer approached the woman a few hours ahead of her concert in Singapore. When she interacted with Wah, Beer understood that she needed to help her. Along with paying her for her services, the singer also paid an extra amount for the shop rent. Wah received a total of 3,460 SGD, which sums up to over $2,500.
Wah was surprised and overjoyed at her kindness and generosity and couldn’t help but share the same. “She was so generous. She paid me for the sets she did and helped me out with my rent for the month. She didn't mention anything about it and just got her agency to drop me a paynow before just informing me that she covered my rental for me,” Wah wrote in her post. The singer didn’t have any exchange with her after the incident. Beer came like a blessing in disguise and left a profound impact on all the staff. The nail tech also described it as a “surreal” experience that she will always treasure.
She added, “I was really about to give up on everything I worked hard to build for until everything started working out again, thanks to my friends, family, fiance and obviously, Madison Beer.” That was not all. When Beer posted her story about Wah’s studio, many people became aware of her business. She mentioned that she started receiving much more engagement and clients, thanks to the singer. "(The) team is just really, really thankful for the opportunity that she presented to us and for helping us grow as a business," Wah said.
