Although reluctant, they decided to take 20 minutes and watch an elderly gentleman’s bag at the beach. That simple interaction and wait turned their day around. What began as a hesitant obligation quickly turned into a decision they would never forget.
The stranger simply paused to sunbathe at the beach when a man who seemed to be in his 70s approached them. He asked them to look after his backpack while he went swimming. He assured the individual that it wouldn’t be long. “Could you please just stay 20 minutes?” the elderly person insisted. At first, they didn’t want to wait, since the plan was to stroll. But in that moment, they decided to give in. He returned right on time, “absolutely ecstatic, bubbling over with energy.” Apparently, another stranger captured a video of the man swimming with dolphins. “He was overjoyed and kept thanking me, saying I made this possible,” the person said.
Once the older man saw the video, he was beaming. He realized that the experience felt different. He ensured he gave due credit to the person whose simple gesture made it happen.
