Both mom and dad might react very differently to the same situation involving their children. It could be an innate nature thing or the kind of bond they share with their kids. However, the difference between the mom's and the dad's reaction to their twins graduating on the same day and at different places has resonated with many people on the internet. The daughter, Emma Sametz–who goes by @eosam428 on TikTok–shared how her parents managed her and her twin brother's graduation.

"POV: My twin brother's graduation is on the same date, so my mom is at his and my dad is at mine," the video's text overlay read. Emma was on a video call with her mom, Julie Fohrman, who couldn't stop crying as she looked at her in her graduation robe. Her dad, David Sametz, Fohrman's ex-husband, showed up on her side of the screen and in contrast to her mom, he had a big smile. The caption read, "My mom has not stopped bawling." The twins, Emma and Noah, graduated on the same day from colleges 1,000 miles apart, per TODAY. So the parents had no option but to go to one graduation each. Emma realized that four months earlier, while she was with her mom, who started crying immediately.

On the other hand, her dad was calmer and decided to do the only possible thing. "He was definitely the logical voice through all of this. He kept saying, 'It is what it is. We have twins, but we also have two parents and we'll make it work," Emma revealed. "I really felt terrible about it. But what can you do?" David remarked. About the video, the mom shared, "There I was, bawling, and he was laughing and it actually was pretty funny. But it was also awful not to be there. I think a lot of moms will understand. So many of us are deeply involved in our kids' education and the day-to-day. And it was heartbreaking to miss it."

"You can't hear what I was saying because Emma put music over it. But it was, 'I'm so proud of you. I wish I could be there,'" the mom pointed out. Aside from the funny part, Emma could understand how her mom was feeling because it was hard to miss her twin's milestone event. "Up until graduation, though, we were lucky; there was never any overlap with events like parents' weekends or anything like that," she pointed out. The family eventually met at the University of Wisconsin, where Emma went after the call. People shared their thoughts on the incident in the comments.

She checked before we were allowed to commit." @ferlindes shared, "Mom to twin toddlers, and I didn't even think of this. I will be stressed every day from here on out, thank you."
