Saving and acquiring value for money is a smart system to follow, given the current economy. Parents strive to use the same since expenses for the family and kids can be strenuous. A mom, who goes by Kayla (@kbyee424) on TikTok, revealed how she saves on her children's clothes shopping by using a lesser-known policy at Target stores. She revealed how she gets a refund on returning clothing items after a year of purchase at the store, leaving many baffled.

The mom shared that Cat and Jack items at Target have a special policy where parents can return the clothing items within one year of purchase. In return, they receive a refund for their products. The plus point is that the clothes can be in any condition— “ripped, stained or even falling apart,” and the store will still accept the same. Parents can easily check the tag that mentions the date of purchase. “If you look on the inside of your kids’ clothing there’s a teeny, tiny little tag and at the very end it’ll say the year that you bought it in,” Kayla explained. The mom added that as long as this tag is on the clothing item, they “do not care what the quality of the clothing is.”

She went on to share her own experience with the brand. The mom took bags of Cat and Jack clothing back to Target to have them returned and received a total of $400. She also mentioned that the refunded amount can be added to the debit card or can be taken in the form of a gift card. Kayla pointed out that customers can also keep a digital copy of their receipts on the “Target Circle” app for reference. She expressed gratefulness for this economic tactic that saves so much with added perks of reduced waste and more.

Several parents thanked the mom for sharing the policy that the store has introduced as their commitment to customer satisfaction and were sure to hop on to the same. @amy19.93 said, “A lot of people don’t know about this and it can be an absolute lifesaver.” @nicky6yo added that there had been a slight change in the policy and that they would be checking for quality. She wrote, “They changed the policy and can deny for quality. However, it depends on the management." However, other moms revealed that they still make use of the policy and there hasn’t been much change in the same.

It was also revealed that the policy is applicable for sneakers and a few other kids’ items too. @allyjaybee remarked, “I do this all the time with my daughter’s sneakers so it couldn’t have changed too much.” @missnanix3 said, “Just say you want to do a jack and cat return with a receipt. I have been doing this for a year or so.” @kate291907 noted, “I order online. Even for pickup. That way I can have everything on the app and get it done without going to the store.” @rochelleparks added, “It’s a game-changer for items like coats and shoes that you won’t use for long.”
