Terrified mom bursts from car holding her lifeless baby — dramatic video shows cop giving the baby a second chance at life

Timely help can drastically alter the outcome for a person in the event of a medical emergency. A mom experienced that after she got out of her car with her seemingly lifeless baby in her arms and flagged down a cop for help. The woman was terrified as her baby had stopped breathing. So the deputy jumped into action immediately and ended up saving the baby's life. The remarkable rescue was captured on camera and the internet appreciated the deputy's timely help, per Fox 35 Orlando.

The deputy, Jeremy Nicks from Marion County, heard a woman screaming that day. She was saying, "My baby's not breathing," as the officer rushed to them. The mom got out of her car in the middle of the street and saw the cop as she held her baby in her arms. She handed the baby over to Deputy Nicks, who immediately started giving him CPR. He put the boy in his patrol car and quickly went to the hospital. Nicks parked the car and took the baby to the first nurse he saw. Doctors pointed out that the deputy's work contributed to saving the baby's life. However, the work didn't end there. Nicks ended up forming a strong bond with the baby, Kingston and his family.

A year after the incident, the deputy had been in constant contact with the mom, Nicole Crowell and the baby. "I think we all kind of knew, right out of the gate, that this is how it's gonna go. I knew the night I went to visit him at the hospital that it was going to be a long-time friendship from there on," Nicks remarked. "We talk every couple of days, we check on one another. It's not just us checking on Kingston; she checks on us and asks how things are going." Crowell expressed, "When you find somebody and see genuine care in their hearts for people, you want to try and hold onto the good." She added, "You saved my kid, you are kind of stuck with us now."
The incident also helped Crowell find her purpose in life and she went back to school to back to school to become a nurse. "I wanted to have that feeling of helping another family." Nicks continued, "I am super proud of her. She is an amazing mom." The deputy and his wife also ended up becoming Kingston's godparents. About Kingston's health, the mom shared, "He still has his ups and downs, but we don't see any of that happening again." Many people appreciated what the man did for the baby and the bond the mom and the cop formed after the scary incident.

What a beautiful story, a beautiful baby and a wonderful, beautiful story." @catherine8579 commented, "Not only did this officer save this baby's life, but probably thousands. This officer's actions & her baby inspired her to go back to school & become a nurse, potentially saving thousands of lives. I hope this officer knows & feels the wonderful impact he has had on his community for the rest of his life." @dannywilliams2830 remarked, "THIS is a real police officer! A real hero worthy of respect! And the mom wanting to help others is so amazing!"
