The most viral sports moments, sometimes, are not just celebrations after a big victory but candid snippets caught on camera. Something similar happened with Houston Texans' owner Cal McNair after the team won against the Kansas City Chiefs on December 7. The star quarterback, C.J. Stroud, was meeting fans after the victory when McNair walked towards him, hoping for a celebratory high-five. Stroud, however, missed it and walked past him, leaving the Texans' owner hanging. The video, posted on Facebook, soon went viral on the internet, with fans mocking the unexpected snub. However, the Texans' social media team, Houston Texans (@houstontexans), took it to a different level of humor and released another follow-up video, which left the internet in splits.

In the video, captioned “Undefeated in patience and persistence,” Cal McNair continues holding his hand out while going about his daily routine. The humorous clip ended with Stroud finally giving the Texans' owner a high-five after practice, with both of them laughing. And not just them, but fans also loved the moment, appreciating McNair for not taking it to heart and instead joining in on the buzz. Natalie Barela commented, "So glad he has a good attitude about it. I do not think it was on purpose. This is funny!!" Expressing her love for the team, Cheryl Cahill wrote, "This is why I love my Houston Texans. Social media team is killin' it again. What other owner would do this, make themselves look so silly just to make the fans laugh? I love CJ's smile at the end."

Keith Dewohn Wells Jr commented on the post, saying, "Bro to have an owner that can laugh at a situation like that is priceless! GO TEXANS!!" "Dude, this is the greatest PR/Social media response I have ever seen," said Robert McCharen. Patricia Chisholm Castillo loved how the situation ended, and expressed, "That is hilarious, Love the ending!!! CJ didn’t leave him hanging after all." Praising the genius move by the Texans' media team, David Cook commented, "I love that they did this! I saw him get caught hanging when CJ turned back to sign some autographs in an area he'd missed. This was genius and totally golden!!"

The same video was also shared on Instagram by the Texans' social media, Houston Texans (@houstontexans), where @brittaniv_ commented, "Wait, was CJ a part of this bc he seems caught off guard (laughing emoji)." @simmi.hendrix commented, "Bro, our owner is awesome for this." "This made me laugh, smile, and just absolutely hilarious! I love this! GO TEXANS!!!!," said @ctpatownatx. Fans couldn't stop loving the humorous response and appreciated the fact that even after three days, McNair is seen wearing the same clothes, holding his hand out to give a high-five to the starting quarterback. Apart from this viral moment, the Houston Texans team has a lot to smile about. After starting the season with 0-3, the team won five games in a row and climbed to an 8-5 record.
