At the time, she believed she had already survived the worst moment of her life. But eight months later, another challenge arrived that changed everything again when she was diagnosed with Stage 3 triple-negative breast cancer. The illness was serious, and she described its spread by saying, “It’s in the lymph nodes but not through the rest of my body, thank God.” Looking back at her earlier trauma, she also shared, “Emotionally, I started having nightmares. He was actually taking me and had a knife to me,” recalling the kidnapping attempt that still affects her deeply. Christopher Steven Herring, who faces charges related to the incident, is being held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail.
Her husband, Tyler Williams, stood by her through both struggles and described her strength in simple words, saying, “She’s one tough woman.” He had witnessed her fight through fear after the attempted kidnapping and now sees her facing a new battle with the same courage.
