When something feels off, keeping our guard up and taking steps to stay safe can make all the difference. A woman named Oona, who goes by @ooniebologna on TikTok, shared a post on October 8, 2026, explaining how she decided to ask an employee to walk her out of Target after she noticed a creepy stranger following her. She had noticed his behavior multiple times and was almost sure that his intentions weren’t right. However, what she noticed while driving away confirmed her worst fears.

The woman was speaking to her mom while shopping by herself when she noticed the man, who seemed to be following her. He later tried to initiate contact by giving her a piece of clothing, telling her she had dropped it when she clearly hadn’t. When she saw him near her at checkout, she knew she had to get help. A female employee talked to him, but he refused to leave. Later, Oona requested a male worker to walk her out. As she got to her car and was driving away, she noticed a big truck behind which he was hiding and creepily snickering to himself. Oona said the “maniacal laugh” still haunts her, and it was nothing short of a miracle that she was safe.

From the time he followed her through the aisles, Oona was certain that something was off. Each occurrence that followed added to her suspicions. Her mom warned her not to leave the store after Oona mentioned that he was waiting by the door. Another shopper who spotted him also told her that he clearly had something going on. She offered to walk her to her car, but Oona didn’t want to risk a stranger’s life and asked a male worker for help instead. His expression as she drove off made her feel grateful that she had been able to escape.

A gut feeling is rarely wrong. In another instance, a woman named Alexandra Kenyon was able to get help after a flight attendant confirmed her doubts about a suspicious man at the airport. In the crowded airport, she thought the man was just heading to his gate to board. However, he kept following her to the snack area, the boarding gate, and everywhere else in the airport..

When Kenyon boarded, she thought she was safe. However, the stranger followed her onto the plane and sat diagonally from her. Afraid, she handed a note for help to the flight attendant. When the flight attendant checked, she realized that the man had booked a last-minute ticket for that flight. Without skipping a beat, she moved Kenyon to another seat and ensured she was safe throughout the flight. After landing, the police escorted him away.
