Keagan explained that one of the men was a mutual acquaintance who greeted her warmly when he arrived. Her friend also introduced her to another man, describing him as well-connected. He asked about the book she was reading before walking away. As the evening came to an end, the two men approached the bar and asked the bartender whether Keagan wanted another drink. She declined, explaining that she was about to leave, but added that they could cover the martini she had already ordered if they wanted to be gentlemen. Instead of agreeing or politely refusing, the men turned to each other and repeated her words sarcastically, laughing together. The content creator was caught off guard by their reaction and could not understand why a simple request had become a joke. She recalled their response with disbelief, saying, "Excuse me?"
The exchange left her feeling that the men had deliberately made an ordinary interaction uncomfortable. The situation did not end there, as Keagan's friend contacted her the following day to apologize for what had happened. The bartender admitted that she was also confused by their behavior and did not understand why they had reacted that way. She had not demanded another drink or expected the men to pay for an expensive night out; she had simply given them an option of covering the drink she had already purchased. Looking back, Keagan summed up her frustration by saying, "It's real sassy out here," questioning why the encounter had become so unnecessarily awkward.
