Losing a precious belonging can be a heartbreaking experience for anyone. But a woman who lost her wedding ring while snorkeling was in for a surprise. She realized that she had lost her ring somewhere in the ocean and hoped to find it as the waters were relatively clear. However, it was not exactly safe to go back as sharks had been spotted in the water. Nonetheless, the woman, Sarah Marie–who goes by @sarahkraffty on TikTok–decided to take her chances and look for her wedding ring.

Marie took a GoPro camera with her to record a video as she tried to find her missing wedding ring in the water. She had been to one spot in the ocean and back, so retracing her steps seemed like a good idea. Someone had spotted a barracuda shark in the water earlier, too, so it was not exactly safe to go in. Because of that, Marie wished that she could find the ring before reaching the spot she had gone to earlier. That place was "quite a swim," according to her and would force her to be in the water for a while. She announced, "We are halfway there." However, she still had not had any luck in finding her ring.

But then, all of a sudden, she spotted something shiny on the ocean floor and went in for a closer look. It appeared to be a diamond half-buried in the sand. It turned out that it was actually Marie's wedding ring. "Oh my god, I found it!" she exclaimed as she put her ring back on. "I can't believe I found it!" She excitedly added, "How did I even do that? I found it!" She was elated to have found the ring and shared that she had been looking for it for hours at that point, and it "paid off." Someone from the background remarked that they could now go and tell her husband, Joel, about the incident.

The caption read, "I FOUND MY WEDDING RING!" Many people shared their thoughts on her miraculous discovery and shared their experiences in the comments. @molecule130 wrote, "I lost my glasses in Hawaii, and 5 minutes later, a wave brought them and I grabbed them with my toes. I felt like Moana after that." @dceember commented, "Hey, I did not like the fact that you told me there was a hammerhead and a barracuda and still took me down with you." Her husband, Joel Maun–who goes by @brotherjoel–remarked, "When you asked for the GoPro and your snorkel stuff, I figured you lost the room keys…glad you didn't tell me beforehand and I'm also glad it was a calm day so it didn't get buried too far."

@bnbanksy shared, "The anxiety I had thinking you were gonna go under the water and be face-to-face with a shark was unreal." The creator replied, "Girl, you and me both. I was worried the ring wasn’t all I was about to lose." @laura_37r expressed, "I also lost mine the exact same way and also found it while snorkeling! Congrats! (Thankfully, mine was only a 15-minute search, though.)"
