Some incidents are an epitome of the kindness present in the world. A woman felt that when two boys found her purse, which had been stolen and lost for three years and returned it to her. The woman, Mallory Pittman-Morris, was surprised when the elementary school students showed up at her doorstep because she wasn't expecting to find her wallet after such a long time. However, she was very grateful for what the kids did and she was impressed by their kindness and honesty, per WOWT News.

The two boys, Eli Rempe and Sam Yarpe, were playing near a creek at the Papillion Soccer Fields with four other friends when they found the purse. "So we went down there and there’s a little river that we thought was cool, so we walked around and we found a purse," Eli recounted. They found dirty and credit cards and gift cards inside the purse and felt that the woman might need those things back. "It’s a nice deed. We felt like because she lost all that stuff and it was really important. And my mom says normally it’s a pain to replace credit cards and stuff because she had a lot of cards in there," the boys pointed out. One of their parent helped them track the woman down on Facebook and they finally found her.

After that, the two boys showed up at Pittman-Morris's door and personally delivered the stolen purse to her. Eli and Sam wanted people to think of the incident and do the right thing in any situation. The woman lost her purse when she was watching her son play on the field. Someone broke her window and ran away with it. The location was quite close to where Eli and Sam found the purse. "I was just pretty much worried that someone had my identity or was going to use my cards. Luckily, I didn’t have any cash or anything in there, but it’s kind of unsettling knowing someone has your stuff," Pittman-Morris expressed.

Pittman-Morris was quite happy to see her belongings safe. A study published in the Science journal revealed that people were more likely to find the owner and return a wallet if they found one. The study planned to examine what people would choose between honesty and self-interest and left 17000 wallets with different amounts of money in several public and private spaces in 355 cities across 40 countries and they found out that citizens in all countries leaned towards returning the wallet and were more likely to return one if it had more money. No experts predicted such a result, per the study.

"I never thought I was going to see those things again. I told them this stuff has been missing for three years and you could just tell they were glowing with excitement to have found something like that," the woman remarked. "It just restored my faith in humanity, that there are still good people out there." Eli and Sam went on, "Return it and do the right thing and not do the wrong thing." The woman wanted to show her gratitude for what the boys did and rewarded them with candy. The kids were excited about her reaction and weren't expecting anything in return, feeling that the candy was a bonus.
