For most adults, winning a kid's trust means a lot. It goes on to show that the kid trusted the adult to support them, no matter what the situation is. An uncle experienced something similar when his niece asked him to be her backup dancer during her performance at school. Of course, the man showed up and did his best for his niece. The uncle, Dmonte, who goes by @dmonte_fashion on Instagram, took to the platform to share a video of the performance he did for his niece.

The video showed the niece standing close to a mic on a stage decorated with red and golden balloons. A bunch of other students were standing below the stage to see the show. The girl was wearing a black leather jacket, blue denims and black boots. She sang "Monkey Dance" by Australian singer Tones and I, as the audience cheered for her. In the background, her uncle was dancing to her music. The girl needed a backup dancer and that's why, she called him up to help her and he readily came to her rescue. The man performed a bunch of different moves as the girl continued to sing. They looked in sync, as they matched each other's enthusiasm.

The audience looked super excited too as they clapped constantly throughout the performance. Some of the children in the audience also danced and sang along. "My niece called me out to do her talent show with her," the man wrote in the caption of the post. "We killed it. I got hired by a 3rd grader, anything for the youth." The video garnered a lot of attention online and received more than 1.7 million views. Many people took to the comments section of the video to express their thoughts on the incident and to appreciate the uncle for his sweet gesture for the girl.

@callmemano wrote, "You really just unlocked a life hack for her. Adults rarely go out of their way to be exactly what kids need. She will always remember this. Keep shining her light and being a great uncle." @mcfartv commented, "We, the new generation uncles, need to stand beside our nieces and nephews to support them at all costs! Well done bro and she knows her uncle got her back anytime she needs you. At this point, you are the Most Valuable Player. The best uncle of the year 2024." @snhdkfm remarked, "In another post, someone commented, 'He’s from the mom's side of the family.' So now I’m curious, is it true? It would be hilarious."

@hyphywyfey shared, "If you got hired by a 3rd grader then I know you’re legit. Kids are brutally honest and if you fail, they’ll definitely let you know that. Plus she’s gonna remember this for her entire life. Best uncle ever!" @meekanyce expressed, "This was an amazing memory that will have a lifetime impression on her. You setting the tone on how Kings show up! Appreciate your energy." @danyeltatum1979 pointed out, "That's the best feeling in the world. I remember my niece asked me to take her to the daddy-daughter dance. I was so excited."
