5-year-old crying over Qdoba missing her guacamole goes viral — then company responds with once-in-a-lifetime job offer

It breaks the hearts of many people when they see a kid being upset or sad. So when a little girl named Astoria was upset that Qdoba, a Mexican-style restaurant, forgot to serve her guacamole, the internet was ready to stand by her side and push the chain to make it up to the little girl. However, in the end, things turned out in her favor as she was offered a special job by the restaurant to apologize for their slip-up. The video series of her complaint and what happened next was shared on TikTok, where she goes by @stories.by.stori.

In the video, Astoria was eating at the Mexican restaurant, and just like she said, there was no guacamole present on the table. Her eyes welled up with tears as she expressed, "I'm very heartbroken, Qdoba, can you bring out my favorite sauce, guacamole?" She tried to hold back her tears for a moment before she continued and signed off with a "Love, A-S-T-O-R-I-A." The caption to the video read, "When they forget your guacamole." The video garnered nearly 6 million views and over 867k likes. People in the comment section expressed they were ready to fight anyone to get Astoria her guacamole.

It turns out people wouldn't have to wait for 30 years for that to come true.

Qdoba eventually reached out to Astoria and apologized with a big bowl of her favorite guacamole, the recipe and with a special position at the restaurant, which she gladly accepted. In an update, Chef Katy from Qdoba reached out to the girl and expressed, "I am so sorry that we missed your favorite sauce. Thank you for telling us. We are going to make it right and send you so much guacamole, your brain's gonna explode." Also, she showed Astoria how to make it, so she could make it at home with avocado, jalapenos, cilantro, red onion, lime juice and salt.

In another video, the caption from @qdoba explained, "We've been trying to fill the position for years but could never find the perfect candidate…. until now. Welcome to the team, honorary Chief Guacamole Officer." Astoria got to be the Chief Guacamole Officer at the outlet for a day and spent it making her favorite guacamole in a chef uniform made especially for her. She was excited to work at the restaurant and participate in making her favorite "sauce." At the end of the day, she even got to have the perfect meal with a side of guacamole. "I will have some chicken quesadilla with chips and guacamole, my favorite sauce," Astoria said as she placed her order. She approved the guacamole with a big thumbs up.
