6-year-old insists she packs lunch for mother—but the wild items in lunch kit leave the mom stunned in office

It is adorable when kids want to take responsibility and try things on their own. Having your child offer to dress themselves up or even help apply your makeup can be a heartwarming gesture. However, it is chaotically hysterical at the same time and leaves you wondering what their thought process might have been all along. A mom who goes by @bayoublackbird on TikTok revealed that she was busy getting ready to work for the night shift when her daughter insisted she pack her lunch. The mom gladly obliged, but she was not ready for the items she saw in her lunch bag, thoughtfully put together by her 6-year-old.

"I was busy. I was distracted getting things ready, the whole nine yards. I knew she was putting stuff in my lunch kit, but I didn't know what,” she noted. The woman added that her daughter insisted on carrying the lunch bag to the car and because she was busy with other things, she didn’t get a peek at her lunch until she was in the office. She had already packed a container of food and the little girl only had to put it into a bag, but she had other creative plans. However, the mom was stunned to find a bag loaded with items that were supposed to be her lunch. Starting with the first item, she pulled out a Beetlejuice doll. “It talks. It talks. It's her Beetlejuice doll," the mom remarked. 

Next up, the mom said, “It gets better,” while pulling out a Lunchable, Doritos and pink nail polish. This was not all. The daughter sure had some plan cooking as she had put a truckload of items into that lunch bag. These included 6 Jell-Os, lipstick, brownies, a banana wrapped in foil and a bag of chocolate chip cookies. What baffled the mom the most were the 5 whole cloves of garlic her daughter casually put into her bag. “I think she thinks I’m fighting vampires at work,” the mom remarked. The mom also found two notes in the bag. One consisted of a few scribbles and a drawing she made. The other had her name and a few other scribbles added with love on a napkin.

The 6-year-old also generously added a $1 note she had earned earlier from a chore. People in the comments were impressed with the creativity and love the girl put into packing her mum’s lunch. @reese1980 said, “She didn’t just pack you a lunch, she packed you activities, toys and protection from vampires. She even packed your lipstick so you could touch up after! She did a great job.” @b00ty0unce900 added, “Beetlejuice doll for emotional support, Lunchables for lunch, garlic to fight vampires, Jell-Os for celebrating after, banana for balance, brownie and cookies for dessert and a dollar for a drink.” @williamgivens68gm remarked, “She packed you a survival kit.” @camiatatum added, “Maybe she thought you were gonna share with your friends.”
