Kids form friendships in the most unusual ways. They also choose to be kind and know what to do at times that might look challenging to adults. An 8-year-old boy did the sweetest thing on his way to class when he decided to comfort a crying boy with autism. The two ended up developing an unexpected friendship from that point. The clip of that adorable moment was shared by CBS News. Many people on the internet applauded the boy for his kindness.

The boy, Christian, saw that another boy in his class was crying on the first day of school. He noticed that and immediately went up to the boy to hold his hand and comfort him. Surprisingly, the boy, Connor, felt comforted and stopped crying as Christian held his hand. They met for the first time and formed an instant connection with each other because of the kind gesture. Christian's mom, Courtney Moore, caught the brief exchange on camera and shared what happened with the outlet. "He was consoling him and he grabbed his hand and walked him to the front door. We waited until the bell rang and he walked him inside the school." She pointed out that the rest is history and the two boys now share a very special bond.

Christian's mom had posted a photo of the boys holding hands on Facebook and got a response from Connor's mom, April. The woman was glad that her son had found a friend. "I fear every day that someone is going to laugh at him because he doesn't sit correctly or laugh at him because he doesn't still, or because he jumps up and down and flaps his hands," the woman shared. Connor has autism and the mom was quite worried as it was the first day. "It was the first day of school and I started crying. Then he helped me and I was happy," Connor expressed pointing at his new friend. Christian's mom shared that the boy struggles with speech with the outlet.

"It doesn't matter, you know, race doesn't matter, color doesn't matter, gender doesn't matter, disability doesn't matter. Just open your heart and be kind. That's what we need in this world," April highlighted. "One act of kindness can change someone's life," Moore added. People took to the comments section of the video to appreciate the beautiful bond the two boys were developing. @antitheticalprincess6616 wrote, "I love how Connor shared his blanket with Christian in the clip when they were sitting beside each other that seems to be a safety/comfort item for Connor, so sharing it imparts a certain level of trust and respect for his new friend. I hope they're lifelong friends and that they can both keep their kindness well into adulthood!"

@ClaraTunwin commented, "My son was having a hard time at school this morning he was crying and refusing to go to class and one little boy came over and gave him a big hug. Made me want to cry because of his kindness towards my boy." @inigopetersen2486 remarked, "My son has autism, he too had a little girl angel that protected him this way. When I met her mom, I understood why she was so kind." @StellaAdler shared, "My heart broke when his mother spoke of the fear she feels on a daily basis, that someone will make fun of him. The little boy who approached him is a little sweetheart, with a huge heart."
