91-yr-old grandpa sends hilariously savage texts to granddaughter about her single status and we are living for it

Sometimes, grandparents can be so starkly honest that it seems almost funny. Some of them even tell you how they feel about you without even batting an eye. A woman's 91-year-old grandpa did something similar when he would send her texts about various aspects of her life that come off as equally mean and hilarious. The woman named Megan Elizabeth–who goes by @meganelizabeth1016 on TikTok–shared the texts in a now-deleted video, per The New York Post.

"Texting my 91-year-old grandpa be like..." Elizabeth wrote in the text overlay of the video as she shared the screenshots. "This is grandpa. I read an article that said if you do not find a life partner by 29, you most likely die alone. Your birthday is coming up in 3 months. Just wanted to let you know. Love, Grandpa," he texted her. "Thanks," the granddaughter simply replied to her granddad's joke. "Megan, this is grandpa. I hope you are keeping the weight you lost off. Remember, heart disease runs in our family. Love, grandpa," he wrote, sharing another savage text with his granddaughter while also cautioning her about diseases. "Yes, I am. Thank you and I love you," Elizabeth wrote in a patient reply.
He even expressed concern over the drinking habits of his granddaughter's generation. "I hope you aren’t drinking a lot. I saw on the news that alcohol sales are sky-high because millennials are depressed. Love you always, Grandpa." Elizabeth reassured him, "Thanks, grandpa, I am okay." Also, he warned her about the dangers of using TikTok. "Megan, it is grandpa. I read an article that other countries are using data from a website called TikTok to use it against America. Do you have a TikTok? Please be careful. Love, grandpa." Even though she used the platform for sharing the video with her grandpa's texts and it was super popular, she reassured him that she didn't have a TikTok. "Hi, grandpa. No, I don't have a TikTok. Nothing to worry about. Love you."
Elizabeth even clarified that her grandpa was not trying to be mean or offensive and it was just the kind of sense of humor they shared in the family, per Fox News. "My family is very sarcastic, so all of us are always texting something silly to each other and pulling pranks, doing weird stuff. So my grandpa texting me asking for tequila or saying I have bad taste in men is nothing new for me," she said. "You should have seen his face when I showed up with a tattoo of a squirrel on my arm last month." She added that her grandpa was hilarious and had "no filter at all."

"I am so glad that people are enjoying my videos of the texts between my grandpa and I. The comments I am receiving from people saying how my videos made their day and how they want to 'adopt' my grandpa make me so happy," she said. Many people commented on Elizabeth's video to appreciate the funny exchange. One user wrote, "How is this so mean yet so sweet at the same time?" Another person commented, "Aw, he’s trying, lol. He cares so much about you."
