Moving into a dream home can be a milestone event for many people. However, one couple's move to their dream home was punctuated by a surprise. The couple moved into the house before their wedding and checked the place along with their family. That's when the woman, Kaitlyn Ostolaza's dad, spotted a box in the attic and she instantly knew what it was. The box had a wedding dress, just like the woman had expected. She planned to use the amazing find from her new house in a special way for her wedding, according to her TikTok video, where she goes by @xkirimi. The clip received over 2.7 million views.

"POV: You bought a house with your fiancé and find a wedding dress in the attic," the text overlay of the video read. The man brought a blue box down that had the wedding dress carefully preserved in it. Kaitlyn thought that the dress was really beautiful with the train, long sleeves and details. She hoped to include it in her wedding in some way. "This is not the previous owner's wedding dress," the woman clarified in the caption. "Hoping to use something left behind as my something borrowed for our wedding. I just know whoever wore this dress looked amazing in it. The train is everything."

Kailtyn's parents had visited the house first, according to Newsweek. The dad spotted an entrance to what was supposed to be an attic above the garage. However, he noticed that there was no string to pull the ladder down. The man fixed the string and found the box in the attic. He then sent his daughter a picture of the sealed box. "Because he sent me a text of the box, I always knew that it was a wedding dress based on what he sent to me and the label on the box. It wasn't until weeks later, however, when I had my fiancé go into the attic to get the box." Kailtlyn sent a message to the previous owners about the dress and waited for two weeks for a reply before opening the box.

The woman hoped to explore the house more soon. "In the same attic above the garage, there were some pool floaties and there is another attic above the home that we have yet to explore." People appreciated the wedding dress discovery before the couple's big day in the comments section of the video. @sindeefnrella.exe wrote, "Wedding dress distribution system. If this were my dress and it was left behind, I would want the woman who found it to use it. A dress saved is meant to be used." @cat_mom0113 commented, "I bet you the person the dress belongs to didn’t have a daughter to give it to. It was left there for you. It was a gift from her to you. That's how I would see it."

@valckelleher remarked, "I’m 60+, married 40+. My daughter doesn’t want to wear my dress. Not a big deal. It's her wedding. I would be happy if someone found my dress and used it. Going to take mine to the thrift store next time I find it in the garage." In one of the comments, Kaitlyn expressed, "It was left behind. The previous owners lived here for over 20 years and the wife said the dress was not hers. It's going to be loved and repurposed."
