After two dates, she thought he was a gentleman through and through — until she cut their plans short and his reaction exposed another side
First impressions can be tricky, especially when someone seems too good to be true. But for one woman, everything seemed perfect until she changed their plans during the second date, and she got to see a completely different side of the man she'd been getting to know. On Sunday, July 26, 2026, TikTok creator Randa, who goes by @damnranda, shared a video responding to a comment that asked for an update after her second date. According to Randa, the man had planned an afternoon filled with multiple stops, but when she told him she was too tired to continue, she says his entire attitude toward her changed.
Randa mentioned in the video that the first half of the date went well and she was charmed by the gentleman. But everything changed the moment she told her date she wanted to head home. After spending about five hours together, she said she was exhausted and wanted to skip the last two stops he had planned. That's when the man she believed was a "gentleman through and through" suddenly became cold and distant. He told her, "Well, that changes some things, but I'll take you to your car," before turning up the music, speeding down the road, and barely speaking to her for the rest of the drive. When they arrived, she said he didn't even open her car door, the same door he had been opening all day.
Earlier that day, Randa had shared that the man planned what she described as "three dates in one," starting with lunch, drinks, and shopping at a vineyard before heading downtown for more drinks and dessert. Although she liked the effort, she said beforehand that spending an entire day together on only their second date felt like a lot. She even told him they would "play it by ear" because she was already tired and preferred driving her own car so she could leave whenever she wanted. However, when they met, she agreed to ride with him instead.
Randa said the date started off well, with the man opening doors, pulling out her chair, and presenting himself as a chivalrous gentleman. But after she told him she wanted to end the date early, she said his attitude changed completely. Sharing the experience, Randa said she believed her date had misrepresented himself. "Sir, you are too emotional for me," she said. "I want to go home. I don't want to be with you all day."
Randa's experience isn't the first time a date has taken an unexpected turn. In another story, a woman named Jezabel said she agreed to a coffee date after matching with a man online, thinking it sounded like a simple way to get to know each other. But what began as a casual coffee date quickly became uncomfortable after her date appeared to expect her to pay for his order. He later revealed scabs hidden beneath his hoodie sleeve while talking about his tattoos, making her feel increasingly uneasy as the date went on. She decided to leave early and later blocked him after he asked to see her again.
