Airline planning to reward employees surprises them with big bonus equal to 8 months of salary

The Singapore Airlines have been grateful of their employees' services and dedication and to show their appreciation, they've rendered a generously inspiring bonus

With workers constantly on their feet, giving their best, employers have a system of bonuses to render for their committed services. But how huge can a bonus be? Singapore Airlines has set a new limit to the same that is incomparable, per CNN. The company reportedly offered a bonus worth 8 months’ salary and it’s raining generosity on their end. This stemmed from a net profit of $1.98 billion during the fiscal year and the thoughtful use of the same has employees delighted on a whole new level. There are a few heartwarming thoughts and ideas that came to mind to make this mind-boggling bonus a reality.

The airlines have often received the title of the “Best Airlines” over the years. The profits denote that the company is doing well and rewards are a must. Goh Choon Phong, the airline’s CEO, commended his employees and their dedication to making the airline as successful as it is. He noted that they are the ones who made “many sacrifices to ensure that SIA was ready for the recovery in air travel. That has allowed us to emerge stronger and fitter from the pandemic.”

The bonuses come from the hefty profit which has been added thanks to an increase in cargo, demand for concerts, perishables and several other requirements the airlines have adhered to with their services. Furthermore, the company has also dabbled in community services in the past, so looking towards the generous well-being of their employees comes to them quite naturally. The bonus has been awarded to all staff members, including pilots, per The South China Morning Post. The airlines have been inspired to give away this amount worth 8 months’ salary following the previous bonus worth 6.65 months’ salary rewarded by several airlines.

The company has also taken into deep consideration the tireless efforts of many employees during the pandemic and even after, bringing the flights back to their efficiency. The employees are undoubtedly rejoicing over their hefty, hard-earned bonus. However, other professionals are also commending the airlines for their thoughtfulness. The news was shared in a post on X, and many people responded positively.
