There are certain things that a person looks forward to on their wedding day. A father-daughter dance might be such a thing for many brides. Unfortunately, one bride couldn't get that chance because her dad passed away after one month of finding out that he had cancer. So the groom decided to do something special to create that moment for her. The man, Don Perez, arranged a special dance for his wife and shared it on his YouTube channel. It touched many people's hearts on the internet.

"Shannon had been waiting for a long time to find her match. Always a bridesmaid, never a bride. Until she met me and my two awesome sons, Tommy and Joey," Perez wrote, sharing the context behind the performance. "She is a romantic and believes love will last for an infinity." The man shared that like every daddy's girl, his wife was looking forward to the father-daughter dance at their wedding. "Sadly, he passed away one month after finding out he had cancer. I did my best to recreate that moment for her." The groom was dancing with the bride among applause and cheers. They looked at each other lovingly as they danced.

After their dance was over, the groom made the bride take a seat on the stage and put up a performance for her with his two sons. The woman looked really excited and happy as the three of them danced their hearts out for her. The man flashed the lyrics of Ed Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud" to his bride as the song played in the background. Next up, the man wore a T-shirt that said, "May I have this dance?" and danced with Shannon once again. After the song ended, the man removed the T-shirt and came back in his normal clothes to continue dancing with the bride, making everyone laugh. Both the bride and groom were in tears at one point. They kissed each other as the dance ended, and the audience screamed and clapped for them.

People took to the comments section of the video to appreciate the man's gesture for his wife. @ana.sees.world.12 wrote, "Amazing gift from a groom to his bride. My dance with my dad meant a lot to me, too. He was sick, but he forced himself to walk every day and get stronger so he could walk me down the aisle. 3 years later, he passed away, but my dance with him meant the world to me. God bless you two." @lemer09 commented, "This touched my heart so much! I know what it's like to not have a father, and because I won't get that dance, I don't want a wedding."

@KMS830 remarked, "My amazing Dad passed away 1-1/2 years ago and won't get to see my wedding either....this is the sweetest thing ever. Ugly cried so bad. Ha. Good job, hubby." @vanillasugar5611 shared, "Don, you are such an amazing man. Your bride is a very lucky lady, and your boys will grow up to respect and love women the way it was intended. This was absolutely beautiful." @Cherbear1967 expressed, "Beautiful. This video had me burst out in tears. So much love poured into this. I wish you both the best in the future years."
