Some love stories put a smile on everyone's faces, even years after they happened. A man has a story like that to share with the world. The duo met while the man, named Alan, was playing with a quartet at an art museum, and the woman, named Kirsten, was on duty as a custodian. They started going out after that, but during one particular argument in their relationship, he knew that she was indeed the one. He told his story to Hunter Prosper, an interviewer who goes by @hunter_prosper on Instagram.

"Who was your greatest love and why did you fall in love with them?" Prosper asked Alan. "That would be Kirsten...and I am married to Kirsten now." He felt that his wife had a way about her. "She's got eyes that smile." Alan met Kirsten when he was playing with a little quartet at an art museum. "She was the custodian on duty." Kirsten came up to him and asked him about taking some lessons. "And we got together, and she goes, 'I don't want lessons,'" he laughed as he recounted the incident. Prosper wondered how he knew that Kirsten was "the one." The husband and wife had their fair share of altercations when they initially started dating. But one in particular was a turning point for him.

"I left. About the time I got home, she rode across town on this broken bicycle." He went on, "It was a bicycle that belonged to a friend of hers who only had one leg. So, basically, it only had one pedal." With a lot of effort, she met Alan while struggling to ride the bicycle. "That's true love, baby," Alan expressed. "Thankfully, I am an old guy now. I was older then. She's a beautiful person inside and outside." He continued, "That is really, really rare." The caption read, "Every stranger has a story, let's start listening." People shared their thoughts on the love story in the comments.

@nathan_pablo_photography wrote, "'I'm old now, but I was older then' is one of the most wonderful lines I've heard in a long time. This is wonderful." @kelli0600 commented, "I met the love of my life. He is the most amazing person I know. Just being around him, I feel at peace. His eyes and smile make me happy. Unfortunately, we are not together, but we are great friends." @gotdamn remarked, "The day I felt like self-exiting, I decided to spend one more reckless night with a stranger. I matched with a random guy on an app and didn't care if he would harm me at all. Turns out he was the sweetest, most innocent, loving man I've ever known."

@kinetic_ascetic shared, "'Eyes That Smile' I love hearing these stories, man. Love is the strangest, most powerful thing ever... Janessa, the love of my life, whom I'd accepted and planned on spending the rest of my life with, just passed away unexpectedly at just 30 years old last month... 'Eyes That Smile' is the closest thing I've ever heard a complete stranger describe her. Man, what a beautiful gentleman. 'That's true love, baby!'" @thato_1 expressed, "You just revived their love even more by taking him back to their early days."
