Dad was beyond thrilled after learning daughter won pizza-eating contest — then came his adorable Facebook plea

Parents hyping up achievements might work wonders for a child's self-esteem. A dad did just that for his daughter, who won a pizza-eating contest and got a shirt as a gift. The man was super excited when he heard the news and requested his daughter to pose for a photo so he could post it on Facebook. He kept appreciating his daughter for winning the competition and the internet absolutely loved his reaction. The daughter, who goes by @hypoallergenicbrassiere on TikTok, posted this wholesome video there.

"Me telling my dad I ate a XXL pizza and won a shirt," the text overlay of the video read, as the daughter was lying on her bed. The dad came in and asked the girl, "Oh, you went to Pete and Elda's? You ate the whole thing?" The man screamed with excitement and disbelief that his daughter managed to do that. "I am so proud! How did you do that?" the dad exclaimed. He kept repeating that he was really proud of her. "I can't believe it." The girl revealed that she managed to finish the pizza in 22 minutes. He looked at the shirt and expressed his disbelief once again. "That pizza's huge. So proud of you."
"Look at you in a t-shirt! I want to take a picture and put it on Facebook," the enthusiastic dad went on. He asked her if they could do that and if she would hold the shirt up for him. The girl agreed to do it and posed for her dad while holding up the t-shirt so he could click a photo for Facebook. She had a big smile on her face as her dad carefully snapped multiple pictures of her with her gift. The man even put his glasses on to make sure that he got a nice photo. People had an overwhelming reaction to the video in the comments section and were impressed by how the dad acted after learning about his daughter's win.
@hannahcouzens wrote, "When I was about 7, we went to Tenerife and we had these (thin) pizzas that were like the size of a big trash can lid. I somehow ate the whole thing, my dad has never stopped talking about it, I’m 29." @bop65203 commented, "Never, Ever, Ever, Underestimate the value of your father loving you. I would have killed for him to have loved me and told me once he was proud of me. Instead, he moved to the other side of the world." @angelatheillest remarked, "I freaking love your dad. I've been trying to figure out the name of this pizzeria for years. I haven't been back since I was 8 years old and my dad won me a Family Guy shirt."

@nutz1031 shared, "As someone who has tried several times...and always failed...congrats! Haha, I can't figure out how it's so thin and I can max get 3 pieces before dying." @amyperk08 expressed, "Please God, bless this sweet man! May your pillow always be cold, my dude! What a sweet dad, so reminds me of my dad, lol. Always my hype guy! Bless y’all!" @smoikedoyster pointed out, "He’s my dad now also. Tell him I love him for being so dang proud of you. Me too. I’m proud of you for eating that pizza all on your own in 22 minutes. Making this pizza lover proud too."
@hypoallergenicbrassiere if anything could make him proud… it’s this
