Florence Pugh's recent film "We Live In Time" has been making quite a buzz in the theater with its poignant storytelling that has touched a chord with millions of viewers. The 28-year-old British actress plays a passionate chef named Almut who gets diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer. Her character fights through love, loss and acceptance as she tries to find her way in the last days of her life after the diagnosis. Many viewers have found themselves relating with actor Andrew Garfield's character Tobias, Pugh's lover and the father of her child in the film. So, one 24-year-old fan, Sophie Temple, took to an Instagram post of Pugh and left a comment to share her personal tragedy that had a lot of similarities with Pugh's film.

"My mom was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer when I was 2, given 6 months to live. She stuck it out through 4 years of chemo and drugs and treatment to give me a chance to remember her. She passed when I was 6," Temple mentioned in her comment. The woman revealed that Garfield and Pugh are two of her favorite actors and despite watching many promos of the film, she wasn't sure that she would be able to watch the film. The film draws direct parallels to her own trauma of losing her mother but she still decided to watch it. "I watched it in a fully empty theater with my mom’s stuffed animal and a box of tissues, and god I’m so glad I did. It is seriously one of the most beautiful, moving, exceptional movies I’ve ever seen. You captured every emotion my mom felt so beautifully," the comment continued.

"I only have a couple of journal entries left of her, so god, Florence, your performance is such a gift. I was so little, so sheltered. I didn’t understand what she was experiencing. Getting to witness it through this film, I just can’t express my gratitude enough. thank you, thank you all, for bringing my experience to life. I can’t express how much this film means to me. I will be holding it close for the rest of my life," the comment concluded. The "Oppenheimer" actress made sure to respond to Temple's comment on her post and thanked her for sharing her story.

“Thank you for taking your time to write your heart here in the comments,” Pugh replied. “It goes without saying that I am incredibly sorry for your loss, especially at such a young age. I can’t imagine the ways that it affects one’s life and the processing that inevitably comes for years after. It’s always the wish that my work speaks to someone, somewhere, feeling the same thing." "To read just how much it meant to you is not only a privilege to hear, but feels like a gift knowing that it’s helped in some way," Pugh continued. The actress thanked Temple once again and appreciated her for not only watching her movie but also writing the comment. Pugh admitted that when the audience finds a connection with her work or whatever she has created on screen, it gives her "the energy to tackle these honest stories again and again."
