A woman recently shared a proposal that was unforgettable for reasons no one could have predicted. Her boyfriend’s reaction made the dreamy moment even more memorable, as he actually puked right after she said yes. On February 5, 2026, a short TikTok clip capturing the incident was shared by a user who goes by @destiny124312, showing the engagement as it unfolded in front of family members and a photographer, giving viewers a full glimpse of the heartfelt and chaotic moment.

The video showed the boyfriend on one knee as he proposed, while the woman smiled as he put the ring on her finger. All the family members could also be seen standing around during the joyful moment, while the photographer took her position to capture it. The onscreen text explained, “POV: Your fiancé was so nervous to propose to you that the second you said yes, he went and threw up.”

Immediately after she said yes, he began feeling unwell and tried to hold it in, puffing his cheeks to stop himself before moving to the side to vomit in the bushes. The clip also included photographs taken by the photographer, such as one showing him in the bushes while a senior family member, possibly the grandfather, stood in front of him, shielding him with his black sunglasses on, while the woman watched in shock.

Another picture showed her hugging him from behind to ensure he was okay as he remained squatted. Later images caught him slowly standing up, a relieved smile on his face, with a hand on his chest, while the woman continued to react in shock and cover her ears. After the brief puking episode, the family members stepped forward to offer their congratulations.

One photo even showed the newly engaged woman hugging another guest in disbelief, smiling widely. The TikTok video caption also read, “I am so glad our photographer captured this on camera,” showing how much they appreciated having every funny and chaotic moment documented. The post quickly went viral, accumulating more than 36.8 million views since it was shared on the social media platform. 

Many users guessed why he had puked, while others jokingly expressed jealousy that their partners had not reacted so dramatically during proposals. Several others shared similar stories of nervous partners in high-pressure moments. @amira_alarick_alexandra wrote, "Aww, mine was so nervous that he asked me to be his husband instead of his wife. Poor dude was shaking."
