On July 29, 2026, she took to TikTok to share how their relationship unfolded and how, just when everything seemed to be going perfectly, life threw them a curveball that put their relationship to the test.
Maddie said the two started messaging on Hinge before realizing they lived only three blocks apart, which felt almost impossible in L.A. They decided to meet up for a hike the next day, and despite the unconventional first date, everything seemed to click. He was sweet with her dog; they had an easy conversation, and they quickly realized they had a lot in common. The relationship soon became serious, and when both of their leases were up, they decided to move in with Maddie’s mom. But just a few months later, Maddie’s mom was diagnosed with a degenerative muscle disease, changing everything. Knowing she needed to be there for her mom, Maddie told him, “You can cut and run if you wanna.” Instead, he looked her in the face and said, "I’m not going anywhere." The response left her stunned, and she later revealed that this guy is now the father of her two children.
After that, Maddie said the two continued building a life together, even as she cared for her mom.
