Being labeled “old” isn't something that people usually handle very well, especially at a time when everyone is trying to look for ways to slow down aging. As the age at which someone is considered old has become a highly debated topic between millennials and Gen Zs, the Prince Albert Raiders Hockey team was asked the same question. While all the players were born in the 2000s, their responses were unsettling for a lot of people, who are not sure how to react.

“What year do you have to be born in to be considered old?” was the question posed to the young men. While each of them gave it a thought, Ryan Grover, born in 2007 had everyone's attention when he said “Mid 19,” but then went on to say “Mid 1980s,” in a response that is sure to offend a lot of people. Ethan Biebeau, also born in 2007, went a step further and said “1989,” which was yet another triggering response. The answers didn’t seem like they were getting any better. Tyrone Sobry, born in 2006, had an even more shocking response, suggesting that anyone born before the year 2000 was old.

Each of the students kept describing people in their 20s or 30s as old, which simply made things worse for millennials struggling to come to terms with a world dominated by Gen Z and Gen Alpha set to follow suit. Continuing the chain of hysterically horrifying answers, Luke Moroz, also born in 2007 mentioned “1994,” as the year when people considered old today were born, showing no sympathy for millennials. Daxon Rudolph joined the boys with his answer, “1999.” Benett Kelly also had a similar response, yet his was more comforting. Kelly pointed out that those born in the mid-seventies are likely to be old.

Cooper Anderson was wary of what he was about to say. Giggling to himself before he could figure out a number, he took a deep breath and a long pause before saying, “1910.” People were not ready to be titled old and were horrified at the fact that they chose those years. While Gen X and older people were completely left out of the list, millennials couldn’t understand why they had to be hit with a reality check.

I was born in 1983, I guess I am old.” @nicomaroo said, “Cooper is the only one who got it right.” @the_debonhare mentioned, “Bro said ‘94. How dare you? You take that back!” @drryan93 exclaimed, “1993 here. I was offended when he said ‘93 till I remembered last year when I pulled my neck sneezing.” @effie5g exclaimed, “1910 is the only correct answer!”
