67-year-old woman attacked by intruder leaves him shocked with her flawless martial arts skills
Karma has a funny way of paying people back for their actions and this is something an intruder realized soon after breaking into the home of a 67-year-old woman named Lorenza, as per Newsner. The intruder thought he was attacking a helpless, weak and old woman, but he was caught off guard by her response. The 5-foot-tall woman made it look like the intruder could easily get what he wanted but the man had a dramatic twist waiting for him.
The man tried to barge into her apartment but he was unaware that the 67-year-old had spent more than two decades of her life training in martial arts and was a black belt. “He was coming towards me and I said, ‘Back off,’” Lorenza boldly narrated. Seeing the woman’s stunning confidence and bravery, thanks to the skills she had to defeat him, the man relented and left the apartment. However, he was keen on executing his plan and moments later, the intruder barged into the home of Lorenza’s 81-year-old friend Elizabeth McCray, another senior citizen in the complex.
The man got hold of McRae and immediately began hurting her. “He grabbed me and I fell to the floor,” the woman told KCAL News. When Lorenza heard her scream, she understood something was wrong and rushed to the neighbor's home. Looking at the scenario, it was clear to Lorenza that she had to take action and give that man a taste of her martial arts skills. McRae was worried and warned Lorenza to be careful around the man but the woman was fearless. “He’s gonna kill us,” McRae exclaimed, to which Lorenza confidently replied, “Not tonight.”
Swinging into action immediately, Lorenza used her skills and gave the intruder a good beating. “I squeezed myself between her (Elizabeth) and him…then I jumped on him and I was punching him and I had the cane against his throat,” she recalled. What followed was quite a bit of chaos and throwing of hands but Lorenza knew what she had to do and forced the attacker to back down again. Even though the man tried to defend himself, he had no clue what he was up against and stood no chance against Lorenza. “At the same time his arm came up and I twisted it around, he was shouting ‘You’re hurting me, you’re hurting me.’ and I said ‘I don’t care what happens to you, you have no right to hurt an elderly person.'”
Lorenza mentioned that she didn’t want to kill him and did everything in her power to successfully hold the man down till he could struggle no more. The cops were immediately called and she had him pinned down till they arrived. The elderly women were then assisted with the medical treatments that they required. Lorenza's unexpected yet amazing valor left everyone in awe of her.
