Sometimes, a random day can turn into a celebration for a person because someone chose to be kind to them. The same thing happened with a homeless man who was trying to collect coins for a Chick-fil-A order when a teenager and his friends gave him a special gift. The teen, Ryan Cook, posted the incident on Facebook to encourage other people to do something kind for others and many people on the internet applauded him for what he did.

Cook and his friends noticed that a homeless man was struggling to buy food at Chick-fil-A as coins were strewn all across his table. "He had a worn Bible on the table with a picture of Jesus and some change he was counting. The staff said he came in all the time but didn't bother anyone or ask for handouts except when he was looking for water for his dog, Sock." The teen and his friends decided to go ahead and buy Chick-fil-A gift cards for the man to help him buy his meal. They also went to a store to buy him, "a jacket, beanie, 3 shirts and a first aid kit," that cost them somewhere around $50. The store owner also donated "$20 and some display items they had."

The group went back to the restaurant and handed over a bag of all the stuff they had gotten for the man and took a video. "After we gave him the stuff, he said, 'This is almost like Christmas because I didn't get anything for Christmas this year.'" Cook told the man to consider all of it a "late Christmas present." He added, "Just setting an example for everyone else. Be selfless and do good for others and then the world would be a better place for everyone." He expressed that he "felt the need to post this to inform others to do better." People shared kind words for the group's gesture in the comments section of the post.

Shawna Lyn Willbarger wrote, "This was amazing and heartwarming just to know there are still good people out there who are still willing to help one another." Brandy Perkins commented, "This is awesome! Shows that the younger generations aren't as selfish as we are made out to be. If more people would help others like this, instead of putting others down, this world would be a better place. Keep it up, guys!" Nina Ramon shared, "That's awesome. He goes to my church. He is a really good guy in a bad situation."

Jen Pontzious remarked, "I just have to say Ryan Cook, I do not know you from the man in the moon, but I am so grateful that there are still good people in this sad world! You are an angel to the man in this video. If everyone could be just as selfless & compassionate as you & your friends, this world would be filled with more love than hate. Thank you for sharing & please keep doing good in the world. God bless." Dana Ripley Wickman expressed, "Thank you for your kindness. I do this often, too and I love it. I feel like we make a little light in someone's darkness. Thank you for sharing."
