Man pressured a server to spike his date’s coffee after she refused alcohol—and his shameless reason made it worse
Forcing someone to consume alcohol automatically raises red flags. Instagram user and cart girl Cass Holland was on alert when a man kept insisting she add Baileys to his date's beverage. During a golf date, the woman first asked for cream and sugar only, then stepped away to get her clubs. In a post shared on January 12, 2026, under her handle @americandreamhoney, the worker recalled how the male was persistent about his request even after she made it clear that the customer didn't want any alcohol in her drink. When he revealed why he was so adamant, she was appalled.
The woman had clearly said she did not want any alcohol, and Holland confirmed it again before continuing the order. Still, after she walked off, the man returned and insisted she add Baileys to the coffee. Jokingly, the cart girl asked why he planned to get her drunk. Turns out, he actually had a response. He claimed, "She's not really coming around," adding that he had been trying to impress her by taking her to golf courses and just wanted her to like him. He further suggested that the drink might change her mind. Her date kept pressing the issue in a way that felt uncomfortable, saying things like "Just pour the shot, she won't care," or "Help me out here."
Holland was immediately disgusted by his idea. She decided to inform the woman directly about what had been said. She explained how the man had been asking her to add alcohol despite her clear refusal. Instead of backing down, he later told the cart girl she likely didn't want a "good tip" because she refused his absurd instructions to get his date drunk. Respecting a person’s choice should never come with pressure or punishment, and the incident became an example of why consent matters even in small everyday requests.
A random act of kindness can help save someone during a tricky situation. This is what happened in another incident when a worker noticed a woman at a hotel bar being pressured by coworkers to keep drinking even after she had said she wanted to stop. She had already reached her limit after two drinks, but reluctantly, she agreed to another round. The bartender quietly stepped in and replaced her alcoholic drink with water and garnish so it looked like she was having a mocktail. The person later said, “I hope that woman gets all the blessings she deserves in life.” She explained she never felt unsafe, only pressured, and the employee's smart move helped her get through the evening safely and comfortably.
