Man received a text about 3 puppies being ‘dumped’ in bushes—he dropped everything and ‘raced to rescue’ them
It takes only a heart of love and courage to reach out and help others. When it comes to animals and pets who are often helpless, even offering them a bowl of water or a gentle pat can mean a lot. A man named Niall Harbison (@NiallHarbison) revealed that he learned about 3 puppies in a helpless state and rushed to save them. After heading over to see them, he immediately knew he had to help them out. The man, who is on a mission to rescue 10,000 dogs, documents his inspiring journey on X, and sheltering the three puppies was one of the most adorable rescues he had ever made.
“I got a message this evening. Puppies dumped in the area where I feed street dogs,” Harbison wrote. He shared pictures of the place where he found the tiny canines. He added that all they had was a little tire to take support from. When the man noticed it was getting dark and the tiny dogs were out in the open, exposed to danger, he decided to help them. "It was time to race up and rescue them," he wrote. In a follow-up thread, Harbison noted that there were other stray dogs he used to feed in the same area due to which he knew that there were snakes, bigger dogs, cars and other dangers lurking around.
“Nobody ever wants the females so they toss them out like trash. I wasn’t surprised to see all 3 were girls,” he added in a thread. Harbison was accompanied by another person, Jam, and together, they refused to leave the puppies stranded in solitude and decided to help them. Since no one would take them in, Harbison put two of the dogs in his bag, asked Jam to hold one in her pocket and drove away with them. In another thread, Harbison revealed that the puppies unfortunately had fleas and were dirty and not taken care of. “All the puppies have fleas, big bellies that are full of worms and some have skin disease,” he wrote. Nevertheless, he was determined to save their lives. He added, “They’ll live and we will find them homes.”

The wouldn’t survive out here long as they had been dumped without a mum.

It was just before dark and we weren’t prepared for a rescue so they had to go in my bag and Jam’s pocket (4/8) pic.twitter.com/0HxfC4vQqM

The video captured Jam cleaning and powdering the puppies while pampering them. The tiny tots were already feeling the warmth the duo had to offer. Their waggy tails and hopeful eyes revealed that they put their trust in the man. In another update, Harbison revealed that he made up for the dog’s milk by feeding the pups goat milk. Soon, they were all cozy, clean and safe in a corner on blankets, sleeping peacefully. “The day didn’t start great for these 3 girls but it has ended up perfectly for them,” he wrote. The plan is to ideally find owners for the puppies but as of now, they don’t have to spend their days and nights on a tire in the cold, thanks to Harbison.
