Wife asks if she is more or less attractive after childbirth and her husband's response had her in tears

A woman's body goes through several changes during pregnancy and sometimes, it can lead to low self-esteem issues. With postpartum depression, swiftly changing emotions and lethargy, a mother needs some form of assurance. When Jess McLean (@jessandscottie) asked her husband whether he was more attracted to her before or after her pregnancy, he had a winning response. His words touched the hearts of several women and moved many to tears. The new mom revealed that she had asked him the question as a joke to see what he’d say. However, her heart melted when she heard the comforting response.

“Am I more attractive before or after I gave birth?” the mom asked. Without hesitation, the man said, “More, easy question.” He went on to share a more beautiful reminder and encouragement to the woman. The man said, “I saw what you were going through before and I see you now. Not that you weren’t before but becoming a mother has made you 10 times more radiant and confident.” While speaking to his wife, the man got emotional, with tears welling up in his eyes but continued to encourage her. He acknowledged the challenges and hardships his partner went through and how she braved through it all.

The dad assured her that she was so much more attractive as a mother because it was a form of growth and progress for her too. “I’ve seen you go through it and you killed it and yeah. That’s the easiest question I’ve ever been asked,” he exclaimed. The mom was moved by his words and asked, “Even physically?” “Yeah. Physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, yeah. You’ve become a completely different person,” he mentioned. The mom had her doubts but the man patiently and gently continued to share words of affirmation with her. He kept repeating that she was more attractive now because of the person she had become as a mother. “I am definitely more attracted to you now than I ever was before you were a mom.” 

McLean further asked him, “Even when I just gave birth?” “Especially,” her husband pointed out. “With Henry on your chest? Are you kidding? That was so cute!” he added. The dad even smiled to himself with happy tears in his eyes and recalled the moment his wife gave birth in complete gratitude. “He’s so good at talking me up and I’m so glad I get to do this parenting thing with him by my side,” McLean wrote in her caption. The adorable couple and the dad’s heart-melting words left people in tears. @zebrajoe7 wrote, “That’s a real man’s response to a real loving woman. Beautiful!”
