Married woman regretted her response after a drunken woman kissed her husband at a bar — but what followed won the internet’s heart

A night out can bring unexpected moments, especially in crowded bars where strangers cross paths quickly. One woman recently shared such an experience that stayed with her long after the night ended. Her story quickly caught attention online as people discussed how they might have reacted in the same situation. On August 27, 2025, a TikTok video posted by the user under the handle @toastedsourdoug described how a drunken woman suddenly kissed her husband at a bar, leaving the married woman thinking about the moment long after it happened and wishing she had responded differently.

In the video, she said a woman kissed her husband at the bar that weekend, and she spent the whole night thinking about it afterward. She kept replaying the interaction and wondering what other way she could have responded in that moment after she reacted calmly instead of getting angry. She then began sharing the details of what actually happened at the crowded club.

She explained that she and her husband were at a busy club in Los Angeles late at night. Her husband had stepped up to the bar to get a drink while she stood a few steps behind him. At that moment, a woman suddenly approached him and grabbed his face to kiss him. Her husband quickly moved his head, so the kiss landed on his cheek instead. The woman then walked away from the bar. The wife said she did not immediately react with anger because she usually feels relaxed in situations like this. 

Shortly after, a friend of the woman who attempted the kiss noticed the wife standing nearby. The friend began apologizing to her right away for what had happened. Wanting to avoid embarrassing the woman, the wife responded lightly and said, “He’s a hot guy, I get it.” The friend seemed surprised by the calm reaction and apologized again, explaining that her friend was very drunk. The wife reassured her that everything was fine, and the group later passed each other again without bringing it up.

Later, however, the moment stayed on her mind. She said she did not wish she had reacted angrily, but felt she could have handled it more directly. She imagined calmly asking the woman her name and if she remembered what she did, while explaining that the behavior was not acceptable, emphasizing that it is not okay to get intimate with a stranger without their consent. She ended the video by asking viewers what they thought the right move would have been.
