A person might need support from the people around them from time to time. But only a few are brave enough to ask for it. Metallica band's James Hetfield told his fans during a concert that he had shared his insecurity with his bandmates before coming onto the stage. The band members had the most heartwarming response to how Hetfield was feeling and proceeded to comfort him, as per PEOPLE. Their gesture gave the artist the strength to keep going even though he wasn't feeling the best.

Hetfield is the frontman of the band and candidly talked about his feelings during one particular instance with the audience after the concert. What happened was that the band was performing at Belo Horizonte, Brazil, after a long time because their concerts were canceled during the pandemic. The 58-year-old told his audience that he had been feeling that he was an old guy and couldn't play anymore. "I gotta tell you, I wasn't feeling very good before I came out here. Feeling a little bit insecure, like I'm an old guy who can't play anymore. All this bulls*** that I tell myself in my head," he pointed out in a clip shared by Michele Fernanda on YouTube.

"So, I talked to these guys and they helped me, as simple as that," the singer said talking about his bandmates. He added, "They gave me a hug and said, 'Hey, if you're struggling on stage, we've got your back.' I'll tell ya, It means the world to me." Hetfield told the crowd, "And seeing you out there, I am not alone, I am not alone and neither are you." His bandmates- Lars Ulrich, Robert Trujillo and Kirk Hammett gathered around the frontman once more on the stage to give him a big hug during the performance as well. The video received more than 440k views and over 8.9k likes. People took to the comments section of the clip to express their thoughts on the heartwarming message.

@guitarman122508 wrote, "Stuff like this is why they're the greatest band in the whole world. There's just genuine love among the four of them and it shines through in every song and every performance. Metallica forever!" @julienmenard commented, "This video almost makes me cry... To feel the pain of James in his words. James, our man, our brother, you change our lives forever with your music, with your lyrics, with your riff, with your love for the band. Be as strong as you possibly can be. You have the best buddies in the world around you (Lars, Kirk and Rob), a beautiful family with you (wife and kids) and I hope you feel the love of the most maniac fans in the world... as you said many years ago... 'cause WE are Metallica!'"

@CaptainFantastik1 remarked, "I'm 47 and starting to struggle with age-related insecurity. This man's music has gotten me through some dark times in my life and he is still there being a role model to me." @ankacusu shared, "He has a lot going on inside. It's ok though. We all feel insecure sometimes. Being the biggest rock idol in the world is not easy! To open up on stage takes guts and I felt admiration for him once again! Metallica family got your back, Papa Het! You are not alone!"
